I actually really like it. It's the little things like just pressing the windows key and start typing for the application you want.
I have to agree that UAC just blows ass. The fact that UAC made it into Vista really just shows how little input Bill had on this one.
At first I really hated UAC (but loved everything else), but it actually wasn't that bad of an idea. Along with Windows being the most secure OS, studies show that UAC is the BEST defense you have against rookits.
stack paper, you can turn it off by going to user accounts in the CP and selecting your user.

Windows Vista is actually a downgrade in performance from XP, which is a vastly superiour OS unless you pass judgment on software based on window animations like people who love vista and macs do, in which case you'll fit right in with vista after you quadruple the amount of ram you need for xp so the bloated piece of shit will actually run at a usable speed.
No thanks.

Thats what I'm saying..
Running 4 gigs of ram.. and performance isn't real impressive.
Guh.

This peice of shit looks pretty, but that's about it. Have you tried using the built in extraction for zip files? It's a complete joke. Gates needs a bitch slap over this.Windows Vista is actually a downgrade in performance from XP, which is a vastly superiour OS unless you pass judgment on software based on window animations like people who love vista and macs do, in which case you'll fit right in with vista after you quadruple the amount of ram you need for xp so the bloated piece of shit will actually run at a usable speed.

My machine is always on, and the performance gradually deteriorates for me the longer it stays on, but I've found that if you restart the system every few days it goes back to an acceptable speed.

I've got winzip and winrar. I remember using the built in extractor when I first bought my machine with Vista on it.Why are you using the built in zip extractor? Get WinRAR!
