This is a specious argument against life extension, because it assumes that a) everyone will want it, b) no one will ever grow tired of it, c) no advances in food/water/waste management/etc will occur, etc. ad infinitum.

Also, the science behind what that doctor is claiming is very shoddy.

It actually says in the article that her telomeres are the same size as you'd expect for an 18 year old. Which means her cellular machinery will probably wear out just the same as ours will.
