Cops are trained to aim for the largest part of your body which is center mass, basically the chest area. Also they are trained to kill, not wound.

Not all police forces issue tasers and pepper spray can be rather ineffective against a determined/mentally ill/drugged up assailant. Also, the time it takes to holster a gun or taser and switch to the other, if required, often limits the choices that can be made. Especially if you believe the oft quoted numbers about how much distance a knife wielding attacker can cover in a short period of time, ie. 21 feet in 1.5 seconds. That's why people with knives get shot and not tased or pepper sprayed. As for the baton, they're great for moving drunk people along and crowd control, but no cop is going to opt into hand to hand combat (or stick to blade) with someone with a knife.

Nope, it's well known that if you pull a knife on a cop and don't put it down when ordered to, you will be shot. It's the standard operating procedure and has happened many times in just about every US and Canadian city. It's happened several times in Vancouver alone.
 
It looks #officergofuckyourself has been suspended (likely with pay)indefinitely for aiming a rifle at peaceful protesters. During the incident the suspended officer can be heard belligerently yelling "I will fucking kill you, get back, get back."

Nice job police. You guys are starting to behave with a smidge of common sense.

Albers has three times before, including once last year, had on-duty disciplinary issues. He "got into it with a citizen and instead of just letting the conversation go, he chose to say some inappropriate things," Jimenez told the paper.

He did cross the line... but also have to remember these cops are human too and most are stressed out to the gils & are running on fumes after the past 10 days or so.

I live in So. STL and my buddy is a cop out near me working in the Sunset Hills area told me he has been in Ferguson all week working 12 hour shifts.

He said no officer is getting vacation time. He's disturbed by what he has seen and what a lot of people have spewed at him when he is only there to help them. Batteries and rocks hurled at him and his cruiser among other things. He did say that there is a ton of support up there from the local residents and that does mean a lot to them.

He is a latino & great cop, that is putting himself in harms way to help keep the peace.

He said the main people causing the trouble are all the haters that don't want the victim stereotyped as a thug who don't want reciprocate the same for the police officers they vilianize.

Also the first & main witness Dorian Johnson... is basically someone with no reguard for rules or the law.

Was convicted of making a false police report in the past:

And at the ripe age of 22, he has 2 known kids with 2 diff. baby mommas who he hasn't been paying shit on child support for:

But it's really hard to believe that Officer Darren Wilson, a 6-year veteran with no disciplinary actions who worked in even a tougher part of the city before Ferguson, would shoot... 6-times point blank... a #GentleGiant black kid, who was going to be validictorian of Vatterot college in 2 years, for walking down the middle of the road & because he was a racist...

All for a $45,000/year job.

Come on.

Granted... all the evidence ain't out yet but IMHO the people that believe that story is probably accurate are the same type of people that thought Gruster was a major baller & would complete his 10K challenge.

I regularly work 15+ hours a day and I dont threaten to kill my customers

There are more than likely "agent provocateurs" in play here. And the police (the feds are calling the shots). The police have been making their own problems here as well. This wouldnt have blown up as big as it has, had they not started gassing, shooting, and arresting journalists.

I cant say I disagree here at all. The bottom line is this whole thing has been a big ass circus act. I dont think any of the locals are at fault for the situation. Including the cops, and the "protesters". The guys on the ground are only following orders.

Officer gofuckyourself was scared and running on adrenaline. But that is what 20 years of training is for. I have little doubt that he behaves in a similar manner on a daily basis. Im would probably behave the same if I was dealing with the trash those guys deal with on a daily basis. But add it all up, the long hours, the stress, the unknown, the feds interference, blah blah blah. It's still no excuse to threaten to kill someone.

As I mentioned pages ago. This whole cluster fuck is a distraction. It's nothing but one big ass psy-op. If anything good can come out of it, I would hope some people have been woken up to what the police state has grown too.

I agree with Mike (McDonald, not Brown) on this one. We definitely don't hear about many incidents of young white men being gunned down by the police...

For example, this incident, involving a black cop and an unarmed white guy, that took place two days after the Michael Brown incident. Not a peep from the media, no protests, no riots, no looting, nothing at all.

If Mike McD can't figure out why this is...maybe we should ask Kenny Loggins...

McDonald also added his take on Brown’s shooting and hypothesized that, had Brown been white, we might not be talking about Ferguson today.
