I think I understand your point very beautifully, but isn't that just wishful thinking? Don't you think that we are constrained in a certain type of reality? In this pyramid, power > money, which is pretty accurate. Usually someone in a position of great power (ie. political, setting monetary policy) is returned the favor of great wealth after moving on to the private sector. Bush, Clinton, Gore, every alumni of Goldman Sachs, etc.
