I WANT A SEO MININET WAR DAMN IT!

Why don't you just compete yourself on your sites.. try to rank for "Link Wheels", "Link Building" or whatever the fuck will bring you client traffic.

I can provide you the domains if that is what you want :D
 


This shit is getting messy. Onthewayup : Why even care to just work on a mininet package if you can use all your SEO skills on a project?

I mean to make this competition more interesting (for viewers too), why not make a custom package (eg : 4 tiers with web2.0, blogspots on different domains, xrumer and scrapebox blasts) and start working?

Why exclude blackhat techniques? Just dont do blackhat on main site (if sandbox is the main concern). If you all want to fight a mininet war and are dead serious go for a complete SEO war.

Approach could be made simpler by buying domains with keyword in the url like :

mininetwar.com

Now since everyone cant get the same domain each one can get one like mininetwar1.com, mininetwar2.com and so on. This way even the on-page seo would be available for you guys.

Again just a thought. Nothing personal with anyone.

Check galaxytabbing.com - The site is like 2 weeks old. I'm ranking for the following:

samsung galaxy tab reviews - 9
galaxy tab reviews - 4
galaxy tab news - 1
samsung galaxy tab news - 1
samsung galaxy tab apps - 2
galaxy tab apps - 2
galaxy tab applications - 41
samsung galaxy tab applications - 25
galaxy tab accessories - 6

Site brings in 400 visits a day after 7 days of seo. Yea, i outed my niche. But who cares?

On top of that, I sold my printox.com site, which has held several high rankings before I sold it for a healthy sum. x,xxx

Had an ipad site which was sold to ipad.net for x,xxx

What's next? I'll let you know in a few weeks.

My Point: Not only do i help my clients, but I help myself. I already grabbed mininetking.com, and the site is being built now. I will be on the front page for mininet, mininet seo, whatever else in a matter of 3 months.

Anyways, yes, this shit is getting ugly, and no rules are being discussed, everyone just has an opinion.

Grindstone - I already know you're the shit. Do you offer any packages ;) This is really what it was all about in the first place.

I'm going to take the weekend and figure this shit out. I do want grindstone, and anybody else who wants to join in - and it doesn't have to be about packages anymore. Just a straight SEO war.

If anybody has any good ideas about the rules, it would be appreciated. If you're just going to talk shit and not bring anything to the table, don't shit on my thread. :nopenope:

I ran a link check on this site. It shows links from several domains. So i have a doubt. By your mininets do you mean web 2.0 mininets or your own domains with wp installation?

Anyways I was going to enter myself with an undeclared package. But if you could get the results so soon then you could beat the shit out of me. Takes practise ...AWW...(OUCH on 2 weeks ranking :D)

Other than onthewayup no one seems to be truly bothered about this comp. I suppose the bar of $300 would be a little too high for anyone to enter.

If all could agree for a straight SEO war without a high entry fee, we could see some tough competition here. We could begin with a Judge-Panel of respected members like Guerilla, Erect, SEO-Mike and others.

The best way to get it started would be:

1) Place a banner for a week on the header asking for the entries. Tooooo much???
2) Several members could use this competition as a signature saying "Get going with with the OFFICIAL SEO WAR on wickedfire"

Arrange for domains. Let the entries invest as much as they want to win. Give a time-span of 2-3 months and then check for the results.

Winner takes all of the entry fee.

But it cant be started without involvement of mods or Admin. Somebody PM them.
 
Or you guys could focus your efforts on making real money with your skills, instead of having a SEO dick measuring contest. Just an idea.

- Straight Up SEO competition

- Use whatever tools or techniques you like or need - white, black, or somewhere in-between.

- ONE High competition keyword phrase

- No keyword phrase in the domain

- Brand new domain (no aged domains)

- $100 to $500 buy in

- Winner takes all........or.........

- Person to Rank #1 fastest gets 20% of the pot. Person Ranking #1 for longest period of time in initial 3 months gets 20% of the pot. Person Ranking #1 for longest period of time in 6 months time gets 60% of the pot.

- Winners take money AFTER revealing techniques and tools used to win competition.

- Only a trusted Moderator knows the Keyword Phrase - that moderator reports rankings for the keyword phrase weekly/daily to the forum.

That's true, but if the said contest is positioned correctly, it could turn into a learning opportunity for everybody.

Did I ever say my mininet was the only thing I used on galaxytabbing.com? The reason why I showed everyone that is because someone said "why don't you use your own skills on your own sites".

But anyways, everyone's comments seems to come down to several factors.

1. This is going to be a hard contest to judge
2. Everyone once an all out seo war, with all things allowed.
3. I turned out to be a jackass, instead of just challenging some folks in the BST who offers big packages
4. It's gonna take a lot of work to work out some official rules, which the rules will be tweaked by everyone, so there won't be any OFFICIAL rules ;)

Guys, this was about challenging some of the bigger packages on WF. I'm still down for an all out seo war, but don't think I'm not just gonna use my mininet package. All out, means all out.

Anyways, It's obviously not going to be done anytime soon, so I'll be taking notes on some of the official rules, and how it could possibly turn out in everyones favor.

Anyways, it's Saturday, got one mininet to do, going to buy a new car, so I'm out for today!

I just can't see how this could be taken for my own publicity, when anyone competing against me from the BST would also get publicity...

I got a bit sidetracked as this thread went on, But anyway, Is the competition between onthewayup and drewclement?

The whole choose a keyword and rank for it in a specific timeframe is a good idea, And seems like it is more stable then providing a "package", because as it was talked about, this "package" can be a never ending "package"

For some reason I think DrewClement will come out on top
