Escape From Mortgages with Tiny Houses

shock-face.jpg

lol!

My first apartment in Japan was about 100 square feet. Like a small motel room. I had a futon not a bed, so I could put it away and clear up the floor. It was alright, because I was never at home except to sleep and/or bang a girl. But if you lived in the middle of nowhere and were hanging out at home a lot --- WTF

This is the kind of thing a rich person would buy to 'experience reduced living standards/costs'

Anyone who grew up poor would not enjoy this. For fuck sake, section 8 living conditions are probably better than this. For fuck sake, that is part of why I work so hard, to NOT have to live in a place like that.

Back during the real estate boom, the company I worked for did a $950,000 loan on a 550 sq. ft. home in Laguna Beach, CA.

550 sqft was like a room you'd see in Ikea. It blew my mind someone would pay that much for so little space.

I went to college with a guy in Laguna. I dropped by his house once and his room was about 1/2 the size of mine. It must have been 6 x 6.

Oh for sure! That's not that uncommon in Coastal Orange County places, especially the older ones.

I SHARED a 10x12 room in college for $550 a month in Newport. I was 3 doors from the sand and saw pretty girls all the time, though.

I've read about tiny houses for years. I know a few people who live in them. I just don't really understand the point... For the same price as a nice tiny house, you can buy a badass travel trailer, which is easier to haul and already built. *shrug*

The fuck? What possible ambition could someone living in these 15x15 homes have?
These homes are like saying "let's make being poor desirable".

LOL these shits are smaller then my living room (20x18) and I live in nyc

just be homeless... i cant imagine people living in these things... maybe putting it in your back yard... but u can make this for much less

Hello friend,

Some rich people have house for dog or cat that more big and more nice then that.

Good luck bro

fucking retarded instead of downgrading your living situation increase the size of your wallet and pay for a house in cash...

who ever buys one should be smacked....

only bitches and suckers get smacked

You guys all know that no normal person is going to suddenly live in these things. These are for the people that already live in trailers, tents and other weird shit. Just trading one tiny place for another.

I personally think with the right piece of land they would make excellent rental cabins. Tiny living is something people may want to experience but not have full time.

Something like that makes perfect sense. I'd be down to have one of these as a place to crash at the lake or while hunting, but not to live in full time.

My perspective might also be different, because I have kids and a wife. I couldn't fit my family in one of those things and have room to move.
