Step one is to not do business with friends. Step two is to tell him to promptly fuck off. If he's you freind he'll understand.

I'm not kidding never get involved with friends or family in business. You can find a 3rd party easy enough here to handle him, and his demands.

Listen fellas, I know I come off as a biaiatch in this thread. But I had to vent.

As Ive said...I dont care if someone does a video of his bikes...they are not mine.

The thing that pissed me off is this whole idea of me going thru process of designing a website at the moment, discussing ideas how to make the garage popular (because I genuinely want for him to succeed doing it and I want to be a part of it), and I just got the audio recorder and go pro cam so Im basically set for making some decent promos for him.

And he knows it.

And, again - some random dude drops there for a visit, tells him he's got a new camera, and they agree on going thru the troubles of shooting a video.

Im obviously a femme, but this still has bitchmove written all over it, in my book at least.

Call it quits now before you get your butt hurt far more down the line.

Clients that are “friends” are flaky by nature. Consider this a learning experience.

Seek about new clients and put your AV gear to work.
 
do you have a camera that does the same thing he is attempting to do with this stranger?? If not, why the fuck do you care?
 
lol i don't understand what the big deal is? Maybe I don't understand, but he wants to let the guy shoot a video? You get the video and put it up. I don't know why your catching feelings over this?
 
Well, business is business. You didn't have a signed contract. I get what you're saying, but that's the downside of doing business on a verbal or implied agreement.

IF you had already agreed to be paid for making the video and then he randomly struck a deal to pay this other guy for content instead, that might be a dick move. The way it is though, you can't blame the guy at all, the slo mo vid is probably a good idea and if it's free, he'd be stupid to not at least let him try.
