My games been slacking a bit because I find myself getting lazy in my copy. Does anyone have any books, articles, or videos that cover sales copy really well?

I need to get inspired and jump start my writing.

Jason Fladlien Copy Writing e-course will have you drooling to sell shit, literally you'll be like I could shine and piece of shit and probably sell it to a gay wickedfire webmaster after you do, it's that good! Good luck trying to find it, not sure if he is still selling it or whatever, he moved from information products to digital products and as soon as he did that I pretty much stopped following him.

That or any of the classics like Claude Hopkins... So many great copywriting books.

"Scientific Advertising" was written by Claude C Hopkins in 1923 and is cited by many advertising and marketing personalities (such as Eben Pagan aka David DeAngelo, David Ogilvy, Gary Halbert and Jay Abraham) as a "must-read" book.

In the book, Hopkins outlines an advertising approach based on testing and measuring. In this way losses from unsuccessful ads are kept to a safe level while gains from profitable ads are multiplied. Or, as Hopkins wrote, the advertiser is "playing on the safe side of a hundred to one shot".
Or anything Gary Halbert, I always love reading his stuff.

Copyblogger is also a great resource for all the information related to copy and headlines. (check out its blog and tutorials)

cashvertising is weak.

You need a good swipe file. Google "gary halbert swipe file" and search for jay abraham, vincent james/12 month millionaire.

anything gary halbert.

cashvertising is a complete ripoff of joe sugarmans adweek copywriting handbook.

however the best book on copy ever written is breakthrough advertising by eugene schwartz. there is literally nothing else that comes close.

I concur, and raise you:

Or how about this one by John Carlton that was a featured ad in many golf mags back in the day and still up on this site:

"Amazing Secret Discovered By
One-Legged Golfer Adds 50 Yards
To Your Drives, Eliminates Hooks
and Slices… And Can Slash Up To
10 Strokes From Your Game

Almost Overnight!"

The reading comprehension around here is atrocious.

Ah, touche: "How to Live to Be 100... And... Still Remember Where You Left Your Car Keys"

If you've ever wanted to drive a golf ball with the explosive velocity of a howitzer cannon (adding half the length of a football field to your tee shots alone)… while hitting all your fairways and greens with masterful precision… then this will be the most important message you ever read.

I love visceral ad copy.

"How to Live to Be 100... And... Still Remember Where You Left Your Car Keys"

this is fucking Kick-Ass...i gotta jack it and spin it...wow

@OP look for "Power Copy Writing for the internet" by Bob Serling...this shit will get ur juices flowing before you hit page 3

and the advice for 12month millionaire by Vincent James is solid!

Lots o' information, thanks guys. I grabbed Kopywriting Kourse, breakthrough advertising by eugene schwartz, and ill look over gary halbert's stuff. Maybe ill reread the 4hr work week also, just for further inspiration.

Sometimes to just need to re-inspire yourself to get back on your A game. You start getting lazy busting out quick copy and its not going to do jack shit.
