You may say this Jon but everyone judges people for what they did in their past. Plain and simple. Like me, I'm an ex-convict with many, many tattoos.
Do people see me for who I really am when they meet me or find out about me? 99.9% of the time, FUCK NO. That label will always follow me. No matter how much good I do.
I have managed Prudential Real Estate here in So Cal with 100 agents before I got busted. I can never ever get a high paying career like that now. That's why I work for myself.
Again, I just was addressing the I don't care what you did in the past because that's a pet peeve of mine since I do have one and it always gets held against me, no matter what people say.
Could I handle the job. I think 110% yes in a marketing management stand point but not in a PR stand point because people would judge me for what , my past.
Yeah, ex-convict runs the WF forum...i could hear the industry now because most of them or geeks and i would kick their ass at running a business and making money but they can build a better landing page, run a forum or are expert SEO's, fuck great but can you come out of prison with the shirt on your back, homeless and in a year be living in a million dollar home and make $130,000 your first year out of the slammer? I highly doubt it. That takes dedication and perseverance.
I dont need to be a designer, or programmer to make shit happen, i make money to pay people to do that shit.
Fuck I m rambling sorry. Too much coffee.
I don't care how old someone is or what they've done in the past. I was judged a lot by my age back in the day, and that just made me want to beat the shit out of everyone and prove them wrong, so I worked harder and innovated things in a smarter way. You can apply that same drive and focus here.
