Don't do it kaveman, its a trick to get you to move to Cali and die in a simultaneous earthquake/gang related shooting.

kaveman got my vote - basically for the fact i wouldn't have to compete against him in future affiliate summit contests if he became ceo

I would be more than happy to give the job to someone else especially if they can prove that they can accomplish what they project. I'm giving you and anyone else a heads up now. This is not just some regular job where you come into an office, sit around, post on WF and smoke up all day long and bullshit. You would have to do a lot of work and work long hours, and the final contract must have some type of clause that states you can and will be fired if you can't meet the minimum projections after a certain amount of time.

So really think about it. I know you started this as a joke, but if you want it to really happen, you have to think and act like a businessman and not some pothead kid who just wants to rile shit up every once in a while.

Alright Jon, game on. I really thought about it and I'm sure theres plenty of work involved but I'm ready for that challenge and would love to serve the community as CEO. If you're serious and not just jerkin my chain trying to get me to say fuck you i was kiding, reply or pm/email/im me details of what you need me to present you with to be deemed worthy when you have a chance. I know something like this would be a big risk on your part seeing as I'm a 21 year old "pothead kid" but you know i have drive or i wouldnt of won the essay contest back when. I took business and marketing classes before i dropped out of college and my goals back then were to become a succesful CEO so I do have some knowledge and a passion for something like this. So let me know what the deal is, lets get this in the works.

I vote for Drusam.

Yup. Bout time wickedfire had a black CEO. The white man has been holding the people down far too long! My first order of business is to force everyone here to have purple drank in their refrigerators.

I was thinking orange soda too. But I don't know whether that's a universal black thing or just a southern black thing.

You should have IM'ed or PM'ed me letting me know you responded to this.

Alright, plain and simple, all you need to do is follow the instructions in that post I made about writing an executive summary and business plan clearly outlining everything you would do for WF if you were to become the CEO of the company/community. You should also include marketing/advertising plans and strategies that would be both cost efficient and be able to meet current and future longterm goals. Since we don't profit from the users themselves, there isn't really a need for an "ROI" table or chart, but if you made something more geared towards securing advertisers, then that would be a good replacement.

Remember, along with this job, you can't just bum around and smoke up. You have to take it seriously. I don't care how old someone is or what they've done in the past. I was judged a lot by my age back in the day, and that just made me want to beat the shit out of everyone and prove them wrong, so I worked harder and innovated things in a smarter way. You can apply that same drive and focus here.

If you need help from your friends when you're writing it, go for it, but remember, a business plan is company's private bible, so don't get too detailed with anyone else. You can use some business plan and marketing plan writing software like Business Plan Pro from Palo Alto, or if you don't want to pay for it, I'm sure you can find a way to snag it for free somewhere on the interwebs.

You've got until June 11th to hand it in. Best of luck to ya, and I really hope you come up with something kickass.

It's open to anyone really.. but since Kaveman brought it up, and seems to be the most serious candidate, I directed it towards him.

You may say this Jon but everyone judges people for what they did in their past. Plain and simple. Like me, I'm an ex-convict with many, many tattoos.

Do people see me for who I really am when they meet me or find out about me? 99.9% of the time, FUCK NO. That label will always follow me. No matter how much good I do.

I have managed Prudential Real Estate here in So Cal with 100 agents before I got busted. I can never ever get a high paying career like that now. That's why I work for myself.

Again, I just was addressing the I don't care what you did in the past because that's a pet peeve of mine since I do have one and it always gets held against me, no matter what people say.

Could I handle the job. I think 110% yes in a marketing management stand point but not in a PR stand point because people would judge me for what , my past.

Yeah, ex-convict runs the WF forum...i could hear the industry now because most of them or geeks and i would kick their ass at running a business and making money but they can build a better landing page, run a forum or are expert SEO's, fuck great but can you come out of prison with the shirt on your back, homeless and in a year be living in a million dollar home and make $130,000 your first year out of the slammer? I highly doubt it. That takes dedication and perseverance.

I dont need to be a designer, or programmer to make shit happen, i make money to pay people to do that shit.

Fuck I m rambling sorry. Too much coffee.

Hell, I got denied employment once because I was a vet.

Illegal, I know. I could have pursued it but what would have been the point? I wouldn't want to work for some shithead that took his political opinions out on vets.

But this is neither here nor there. I've never seen Jon back out on his word. Unless you count stupid stuff like a few projects that he never got around to. But hell, we all have a lot on our plates. Totally understandable.

Kaveman understands that smoking pot isn't everything so I think that if he really wants to step up to the challenge he has a great shot of proving himself. Anyone else, too. It's a grea opportunity for anyone that's interested, that's for sure.

Personally, if I didn't have what I consider the best of both worlds (living in the south and living beside the ocean) already, I'd have already drawn up a plan for Jon.

Whoever decides to go for this just be ready for the commitment involved. Because as much support you will receive from all the level-headed members here, they'll just as soon string you up if you drop the ball on their favorite forum! Good luck!

choose me...

As a fellow German, I have to correct you.
We let the job be done by an Austrian.

He failed.

I'm not interested, but 10 days is no timeframe for an adequate business plan. I spend more time than that just doing market research.
