Other than IM/SEO stuff, what else do you outsource?

Laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, errands? What services would you recommend? I've been doing a lot of traveling for work lately so the last thing I want to spend my time doing when I am actually at home is these type of 'chores'

I've read an article lately that said that the best way to stay mentally sane is precisely to do regular household chores like laundry, cleaning, groceries. Wish I could find the link.

All cleaning/landscaping/maintenance type work, some shopping {most everything is on amazon subscription, so no biggie}...basically anything where the perceived value of my time freed up > cost of service. At this point that'd mean everything so I could focus on the biz/family, but some things I enjoy doing like driving the car (car service would technically give me an extra 1hr of productivity a day) and for philosophical reasons we don't use nanny services.

I "should" get a personal chef or chef service to force me to eat better since I already do the nutritional hacking/trainer thing. I kinda like to have a little inefficiency in my life I guess; such cognitive dissonance as a kurzweilian.

Fuck peon work - outsource my groceries, laundry and cooking. Though most of the time you don't have to pay to bring a bitch in to cook dinner.

Bitches love cooking dinner.

I've been using taskrabbit.com more and more, pet store runs, sorting my storage units, taking pics and writing descriptions for my ebay auctions, etc. It's like a RL fiverr but for fifties.

I outsource my ass wiping...the whole process grosses me out. So I hired Dwight's cousin Jose to do it for me. He's here ilegally so the price is right. Plus, since he's so scared of ICE I am able to get away with some shit I normally wouldn't be able to get away with like throwing feces at his face and pissing on the floor while he's wiping my ass. It's great. Not sure how he feels about it but who cares, he's a beaner!

How much for the cook? Does he cook for the week? How does it work? I have been debating on doing this.
It is a she, and she just quit last Tuesday as her family is moving to the coast. We gotta hire a replacement.

We paid her $16 an hour, and she cooked whatever we wanted. Soups (borscht, carrot ginger), desserts (baked stuffed apples, creampuffs), dinner entrees, whatever.

Our situation is a bit complicated as we always have a careworker around the house M-F so they also make a number of small meals.

If you're on skype Niko, PM me your name so I can add you.

If it was affordable here in the States, I would definitely hire a cook. I've found that meal preparation and clean-up is the biggest time suck there is. But good nutrition is one place you shouldn't cut corners, especially if you spend too much time in front of the computer. :)

I personally wouldn't hire a cook, any more than I'd hire someone to look after my kid (both activities I enjoy far too much to let someone else do it).

However, if you hate cooking, it's gotta be a priority. Fresh cooked food vs getting takeouts / eating in restaurants too much will give you a lot of benefits (health, weight, mental focus) besides more free time.

I've read this too.

I've actually gone in the opposite direction. As my income has gone up, I've actually shaved a few things.

Used to have maid/fluff and fold but when I moved into a house from an apt I decided to just clean myself and do laundry in house. Save hundreds per month and I don't mind doing it at all since I'm usually home anyway.
