Collapse of Middle Class Wealth

You are building a strawman and knocking it down. That is a fact.

I made a statement about the Walton heirs and their hoarding of $90 billion.

You argue about Walmart the company and all the amazing things it does. That has nothing to do with my statement because I was talking about the HEIRS not the company.

Maybe if I type my response in Japanese or Farsi you'll finally get it.

So should we steal their money?

Or force them to spend it in whatever way we see fit?

Or force them to only allow them to hire labor at $x per hour, while outlawing jobs for those who are willing to work for less?

Or Force?

Or Force?

Or FORCE?

Did it ever occur to you that if the "middle class" wasn't forced under threat of violence to give away 50%+ of their income that maybe they wouldn't be poorer?

But FORCE is the answer, right?

I mean, someone's gotta pay to drone those stupid foreign kids.

Hey, if Brian Costello can make it, anyone can.

and I fucking love Walmart, Fuck target and their credit card processor.

People who talk shit about Walmart have no idea how much they contribute to society, yeah they pay sometimes low, but if you look at the medical, dental, and vision they pay out per check, negro you tripping.

Here's a fun fucking fact about these Walton assholes:

In September 2006, Walmart announced a pilot program to sell generic drugs at just $4 per prescription. The program was expanded to all stores by January 2007.

While the average price of generics is $29 (equivalent to $34.00 in 2014) per prescription, Walmart maintains that it is not selling at a loss, or providing as an act of charity – instead, they are using the same mechanisms of mass distribution that it uses to bring lower prices to other products.

WHAT KIND OF ASSHOLES HELP PEOPLE SAVE MONEY ON MEDICATION?

The crazy thing is...Target, Hi-Lo, Kroger, Fred Meyer and Hy-Vee have all followed suit and lowered prices on generic medications to...$4.

Those Waltons were helping uninsured Americans get essential medications at a reduced cost when Barack Obama was still organizing bake sales in Chicago, and they managed to do it without forcing anybody to do a goddamned thing.

The Walton Family Foundation is the 22nd largest US Foundation with $2.2 billion in assets, according to the Foundation Center. The WFF was the 8th largest foundation in terms of giving, with $360 million in contributions as of the end of 2009.

The problem is OP just wants their money cause his parents brought him into a peasant life from the beginning. Now he has to actually work hard so maybe one day he and his family can have a better life. But OP wants to skip that step and just steal successful people and their families' money, cause he just feels like that's how it should be...

OP here is the problem. You were born a loser. You complain like a loser. And you'll be a loser your whole life cause of the way you think. You were born - the only thing guaranteed to you is you'll die. That's the only rights you have, to die - if you want to die a loser, well... sounds like you'll go out like the way you came in.

retardCC's face right now:

OP you are going up against the wrong person when it comes to gifs, I'll embarrass you from here till kingdom come... Trust me.

Re-posting for the OP's answers.

Holy crap. It's like some opened the firehose of strawmen. Wow. The crowd in this thread wins the logical fallacies award of the day, with retardCC getting the crown for his idiotic rambling, projecting, and putting words in my mouth.

This is too good. Not enough popcorn gifs to watch the knee jerk reactions by people who think it's blasphemous that there be any questioning of trickle down theory, heirs inheriting $90 billion while the workers at their company live in poverty, CEOs getting obscene pay at the cost of the middle class, and so on.

The problem is you think that executives are the only ones creating the wealth. Or heirs. It's hilarious. Hell, most executives getting obscene pay don't even take the risk of starting a company since they didn't found the companies that they head. Instead they were brought in.

But hey, maybe when middle class wealth drops to 70% of that of 1984 and your little CPA campaigns aren't profitable because the 100 people who own the 95% of all wealth can't be bothered to buy enough of your weight loss products will you then wake up.

Until then, keep fighting the fight for daddy's little billionaire heirs so that they can sit on $90 billion while the workers at their companies don't make enough to spend more on your IM campaigns.

^-Where are your proposed solutions? We're really interested in knowing what approach you would personally take.

Hold on guys I'm going to pull a jerry...

Strawman.

^This. I can't tell you how many people b*tch about this, then offer no viable solution. Tax the rich more? Tell that to France who taxes the rich at 75%, and see how that's working out.

^The wealthiest 5% pay over 55% of all federal income taxes. Keep in mind 47% of Americans pay NO federal income taxes. I'll bet Sam Walton paid a few bucks in federal income taxes back in his day..

Having China make our products is how they disguised the real wealth inequality. Make them here and see who has AC and toothbrushes.

This is somewhat hard to follow

Basically Jerry is saying that the wealthy few and their respective heirs are hoarding money while the average middle classes wage stagnates. And this is bad for the economy because they purchase fewer consumer goods.

I don't understand the debate here... given the marginal propensity to consume, lower disposable income leads to less consumer goods spending. While the vast majority of upper earners incomes go directly into savings...

Fuckit I'm off to bed.

I think the problem is that Jerry insinuated (perhaps unintentionally?) that the dwindling middle class is the direct result of the wealthy's tendency to hoard their riches instead of distributing it among the proletarians.

I made a statement about the Walton heirs and their hoarding of $90 billion.

So about $300 worth of Duck Dynasty merchandise per American?

That's around $7,700 less than the average cost per American for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

I was talking about the HEIRS not the company.

You would probably be better off here focusing on the company itself, or more specifically on something like corporate welfare, which is generally criticized by libertarian type groups.

Whew jerry, did you ever go about this thread the wrong way. Thing is, I actually agree with your initial post. Middle class is shrinking -- it's not a hidden secret. I'm not sure why when this is pointed out, loads on WF go into frenzy mode with, "socialist wealth distributing commie! rah rah rah!".

Then again, I don't know why you're blaming rich people. Why the hell is it their fault? If you want to blame anything, blame technology. Nowadays, knowing how to use a shovel just isn't enough to provide a good life for a family, like it was decades ago. Well, there's still places in the world you can do that, such as the Alberta oil patch.

Nowadays, if you want to make decent money, you better have some skills and intelligence to you. It's pretty tough to blame wealthy CEOs for that.

I reckon I could take you! :p

As for the argument going on in this thread... meh. You can't argue with retards.
