How does looting places like McDonalds, mini marts, and shoe stores equate to rising up against the police state?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure throwing some rocks through the window of a McDonalds and stealing some Big Macs isn't showing the police and politicians the errors of their ways.

it used to be that only the black community in the US of A knew what it was like to live under the police state. seems every riot (L.A., Watts, etc, etc) was a reaction to years of experiencing this firsthand. but I'm seeing this nice trend(?) these past several years where it ain't just blacks who are sensing it or experiencing it firtshand

I'm not sure what qualifies as a "police state", but I'd say that 1993 Waco was more controversial than 2014 Ferguson.

All I've seen on FB from my STL friends is discussion about this... all my friends who are white are saying the cop had every right & all my black friends are saying its murder cus he was shot in plain daylight without being armed.

That being said... even before this happened you wouldn't catch me in Ferguson after dark. It's not exactly know as a "Mayberry" part of the Lou.

This is the only thing I've seen so far that I somewhat believe because its not biased... they didn't know they were being recorded... and its right after the incident happened. But I'm still reserving judgement until all evidence is out.

I said PROTESTING the police state.

A couple of stores were looted and that's all the whites and conservatives fixate on. Never mind the tear gassing by cops of peaceful protesters while driving armored vehicles and carrying AR-15s enforcing a dumb curfew and violating first amendment rights. And never mind that there was an actual black guy killed by cops.

If you go back you will find my suggestion. Have obama himself show up there and make a speech to the people. All he would have to do is set foot out there and make a nice speech, tell them how there will be justice, apologize, and ask them to go home. In order for it to work all they would have to do is pull back their little army. They can still have a couple hundred plain clothed officers and SS protecting him.

He could squash this racial divide in a matter of minutes. Will that happen? Not in a million years. So now you ask what is option 2? Strong language? Not a chance. The police, the national guard, the fbi, DHS and every other department, and the media need to pack their shit and go home.
