Thinking about doing a colon cleanse...

Go to CVS, buy a bottle of "Magnesium Citrate" - it's in the laxative aisle. Then go home, add the whole bottle to about 8oz of water and chug. Drink the whole thing and wait about 1-2 hours for it to kick in. You'll be shitting the rest of the day, so don't plan on doing anything. After about 6-8 hours, it'll all stop and you'll be cleaned out, literally.

I feel like if I do a colon cleanse i'll poop a mile-long terd.
You probably won't. But there are probably small amounts of impacted feces in your colon which can affect your ability to properly absorb nutrients and pass waste.

What's this salt water flush? I wanna try it :D.
I try to drink one glass of cool water first so I am not dehydrated when I drink the salt water, and it can pass straight through me.

2 and a bit teaspoons sea salt, preferably non-iodized. Good sea salt doesn't taste very salty, coarse sea salt is usually best IMO. Add to 4 cups water, room temp or slightly warmer. Dissolve the salt, grab a glass, pour yourself a glass, slam it, pour another one, slam it, and so on.

Wait about 45 mins to an hour before you drink anything else. If you feel any pressure on your sphincter, head straight for the toilet. Time is of the essence and there are no dry farts when you are doing the salt water flush.

You might have to go to the bathroom a few times to pass all the salt water. It's usually over an hour after the first movement.

You can use juice of fruits and vegetables........ While using it for a colon cleanse just use only freshly squeezed or blended juice and don't cook it because cooking destroys the enzymes required for an effective recipe.... For that you can choose a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables like beets, radishes, parsley, celery, garlic, ginger, kale, cayenne, wheat grass, etc.... At one time, you can make sufficient juice to last for three days by preparing at least three quarts.....

What he said. For about 3 dollars and a day near the toilet you are good to go.

Hey i have tried home enema kit..it works. You can get done with the home enema kit in a matter of minutes. First you will pump liquid into your rectum (which is not as uncomfortable as it may sound), then drain it. The water will break down and dissolve much of the plaque and waste lining your intestinal walls, which will subsequently wash out when you drain the water.

I went to this place about 10 years ago. You fast for a week and get flushed out twice daily. (You do the flushing yourself.) Well worth the trip. You'll be amazed at what comes out of your ass. I lost 10 pounds in one week. Had lots of energy and your mind becomes super clear. I read about the place from an article in Stuff Magazine.

Welcome to Samui Beach | The Spa Resorts
Went one month ago for 7 days to a similiar spa on the other big thai island: Thailand Detox Retreat, Phuket Yoga & Health spa, Fasting, Colonics
They work together with the local muay thai gym so i thought i'll give it a try. Beside all the cleansing drinks and herbal pills we had to incorporate a so called "liver flush" once a day: 2/3 olive oil, 1/3 lime juice and a hell lot of garlic. Taste: :angryfire:

I've never done one of these, but I've heard they're a hell of a ride.

Best of luck if you decide to do it.

* To your health ;)

was it worth the pain?
I've seen some people loose a lot of weight. Did it for health reasons tho, since I don't have much weight to loose.

What I can say is that my digestive system is working better. And I feel way more energetic and fit, but it's hard to tell if this is due to the muay thai training or due to the detox. But yes, I think it was worth it.

I had a co-worker do a cleanse. He drank sea salt water, blue agave maple syrup with cayenne pepper and did not eat a thing for a week. He did say he felt great when it was over but about the fourth day he looked like shit and could barely talk or think.

edit: Never has a thread been so relevent to the title of it's section!

Seriously just have this for breakfast:

Some fruit juice (like Bolthouse stuff- concentrated) with a greens powder (NOT greens+)
Oats with bran, flaxseeds and goji berries mixed with low-fat yogurt
and a strong coffee

Will clean you right the fuck out after a couple days.

My mom does all that. (she's a colon cancer survivor going on 20 years) She also did some other type of cleans, I'm forgetting what it was now,...bile? gall bladder? I don't know all I remember is her talking about hundreds of green pellets like peas coming out of her. Freaky as shit. (for me, didn't seem to bother her)
