Lebron James...

I guess he's right because nobody seems to be acknowledging this video, people (including me) just keep yapping on about this overpaid guy who puts a ball in a net for a living.

But Alex Jones needs to calm down, LIFE IS SHORT BABY, let people enjoy what the fuck they want, if the country collapses, tough shit. :)

Having said that, the Heat better fix up that bench and other positions before they can even think of winning a championship. The Celtics have 4 star players but also have a decent enough bench to carry them through.

Bosh is decent and having Wade + Lebron is just equal to Kobe + Gasol IMO. Kobe + Gasol + Lakers team/bench > Heat right now because they have played together for a number of years and I'm not exactly what you call a Lakers fan. I also think the Celtics of last year could probably beat the Heat of today in a series with no problem. But we'll have to see how they play and fill up the positions first.

Plus LeBron doesn't step it up when it matters. Just like when they got mauled by the Spurs and also this years series when all the Celtics needed to do was put a decent defender on LeBron (Pierce) to dishearten him from playing well.

I agree that if the Heat were to make a championship run, it would be up to Wade. He's stepped up before and since he has a better team now, he will be the #1 and LeBron only will be a supporter but who knows.

If there's one thing we've learned about Lebron, is that he's a follower. No matter how many championships he wins in Miami, he'll never be talked about in the same breath as other NBA great, Kobe, MJ. Whatever happened to the concept of leading your own team to a championship!

What may really screw Miami up is that the commish is talking about a Hard Salary Cap with no exceptions.
So if cap is 58 million you can not exceed it. The Heat have 43 million committed this year to the Big 3 this year and it goes up by 10% a year per their contract.
Minimum Roster size is 12 so they have this year 15 million to split over 9 players.
Next year it would be about 11 million. With a hard cap the Heat are screwed

Kobe Bryant rebuilt a fucking team from the ground up, Lebron is nothing compared to him.

People saying Lebron is the best player in the league are idiots. His stats would indicate that he is a great player but would the best player in the league quit on his team during the playoffs, fuck no.

Really this just shows that Lebron wants to be Scottie Pippen and not Jordan. But whats kinda funny is if Wades gets Hurt there will be a hell of a lot of pressure on him to score 30 points every night with a worse team than he had in Cleaveland.

We all can speculate on how it's going to be, but we will really never know until the season starts. But it sure will be interesting and probably fun to watch!

wow you added so much value to this thread with that comment, thanks so much. I really did not think that it's unknown how exactly the basketball season will turn out before it starts. And what's this about basketball being interesting and fun to watch?? NO WAY R U SERIOUS!!

As for the weather, aside from the Hurricanes which come every few years (last one in 2005), I'd much rather take a 90-95 F day and 70's F night in July over your 30's F day and 10-20's F night. Heck, the last time I've personally seen, smelled, kicked snow was in 2007.

As for Palmetto bugs, I can count the times I've actually seen one on two hands. I'm curious, how many run down houses and homeless people have you seen in the past year?

The only thing good about Detroit is that it's the home of GM and near Canada.

You want to talk about a real mid-western city? Talk about Chicago.

lol!

Kobe and MJ are laughing themselves to death right now. They would have stuck around and won it. MJ would have silently done it, Kobe made a spectacle but not this badly.

They wouldn't have stuck around in Cleveland. But the way he pulled off his departure was immature and classless. Lebron strikes me as a very insecure person. MJ will probably go down as the best player, Kobe annoys the fuck out of me, and Lebron is overhyped and overpaid. If the Heat win a championship, it means nothing. You might as well be surprised if college kids beat a bunch of highschool freshmen.

The only thing I would be surprised at is if they DON'T win. That would be the end of Lebron. No fucking WAY you can blame somebody else. He just put himself in a "must win championship" moment and if they don't do it, there's nobody left standing to throw under the bus.

makes it even more exciting for the 2011 NBA season.

Cleveland will retire #23 - how can they not?

I mean #23 was responsible for so much memories through out the years.
Buzzer beaters, heartache playoff losses, ....so close to advancing to the finals. ALL because of #23 the most dominant and absolutely greatest
baller to ever step foot in the cleveland arena.

#23 - Michael Jordan

Lebron downright quit during the playoffs. Everyone knows that.

I would quit too after 7 years of giving your all and then still be surrounded by shiity teammates that cant make a 3 pointer.

lebrons knock is that he promised the city of cleveland a ring before he would leave.

now he is promising miami a ring. thats just a little to immature.

I still love leborn, he is down to earth and a nice guy. unlike other a-hole athletes like Terreil owens and ocho cinco.

I would never quit, ever. The choke against Boston was all orchestrated so that he could leave more easily and justify this free agency decision. You can't win a championship and then put on the media circus that went down.

He faked an injury and quit on his team and quit on his fans.

Say what you want about the cast, and a lot of this is on Gilbert, Ferry, and Brown, but the pieces WERE there for a championship.

He will never be a true champion in my eyes now.

And you calling him "down to earth" after the media circus he put on is the DUMBEST thing I'll read all week, guaranteed.

Lebron just did irreparable damage to his legacy. By acting like such a pretentious asshole, and bitch slapping his home town and every other major city in the country, he managed to alienate every basketball fan outside of Miami. It doesn't matter how many championships he wins with Wade and Bosh, he will never be considered a truly great player.

yeah agreed, and I ready some pretty stupid shit whether it be here or facebook.

You must not have ever actually watched LeBron, or heard hm speak about anything. Did you happen to see him and his big-headed teammates dance every fucking game, all game long, on the bench? Maybe they should've saved some of that energy and did some listening to the coach.

I don't think the Cavs should've fired their coach, i think they should've just waited to the real problem was gone. Except maybe the fact that Mike Brown never disciplined anyone, and it was apparent when they were all looking around in disbelieve during each huddle in the Celtics series.
