1/3rd of Americans stopped on the channel it was on, probably during commercial as they were lookign for their normal sports shows. Then when commercial break was over they see soccer and think "WTF is this? Where the hell is my Tiger Woods?" right before they change the channel.
Lol. So basically 99% of the "viewers" are something like this:
John: Hey Frank, the fuck did you stop on this channel for? What are you, fucking gay? Change it already!
Frank: Oh fuck, my bad bro, I thought ESPN Sports Center was on...the hell is this soccer bullshit doing on?
John: It's that world cup soccer shit...I dunno...but for the love of god change this shit.

Yeah, the exact same standard by which all television viewing is measured. Same can be said about Super Bowl Sunday.

Have you ever travel outside the US and how often?
c'mon, you quoted a conversation about how fickle channel surfers are when they've got the remote in hand. Our country grinds to a halt when the Super Bowl is on. EVERYONE is at a party except the people required to work in bars and maybe air traffic controllers ... but even they've got mini TVs next to the radar.
No relevance to the fact soccer sucks ass, we've got fairies here too.
Some of the comments and posts from a few members make me think they have never step outside of the US soil.
Not true in my case ... but again, no relevance to the conversation. Kickball sucks equally as bad overseas as it does here.
The real question is, if I have would I view kickball differently? The answer is, no I wouldn't.
Do you really think that traveling abroad would magically make kickball awesome? Or do you assume I would be more socially tolerant to others over kickball?
