I think we can all agree that person is trying to make it appear as soccer is viewing as well as the most popular sport in America (which is NFL football). Basketball is not the king of the sports arena folks.

it's difficult to say how many are watching.
i guarantee you there in the millions...there's over 300 mil people in this country...not saying there's more viewers than the nba finals or the super bowl or world series but now that we're in the top 16 and the games on saturday ...there will be alot more watching i'm sure.

No he's refuting as "ha as many people (about) are watching it as game one of the NBA playoffs" which consistently is two teams who've been there before and wasn't that exciting of a match-up, so who's watching that? I know I was watching that about as much as I was watching soccer, which was NOT at all.
So what I'm saying is, match that up against our most popular sport and it doesn't hold shit. Baseball, nor basketball, even get close to American football in single game ratings (although a large reason is the number of games played). People will interpret numbers anyway that most proves their point though.

However, the numbers have already been posted and it's been shown that tons of Americans are watching the World Cup and loving it man! Americans just love "soccer" and more and more of them are watching it all the time! That must really piss you off hey?

Let see how long you can "support" American football team in world cup. They are sure to be loose if not today, then in quarter finals. So the real support is to accept that you are not the best at football, and let the best win.
