Any other wine drinkers here?

You need some fruit with that. Peel and slice a ripe peach put the slices into a glass and your favorite white wine and let stand in fridge for about 20 minutes. Yummy.

Pinot grigio by Cavit is a decent white.

lolll. 18% alc., costs like $3, shit will fucking kill you.. and no, not my favorite by a shot but i tried it once for the hell of it.
Me too. Shits like cough medicine - one sip and I was done.

Wine is okay to drink at home or at a restaurant. But if I see any of you ordering a glass of wine at a bar, I will harshly judge your masculinity.

but...but...but...what if it's a wine bar?

Whatever, I'm secure with my masculinity.

In Kelowna we only drink the good stuff. Oculus is sooooo good I even named my sail boat after her. Now you know how to find me in the summer at the Kelowna yacht club... if you dare.

The cheap stuff starts at $80 a bottle, you should be banned for drinking $10 aftershave

Naw I was kind of drunk on wine when I wrote that post. I can seemingly drink gallons of Vodka, but a bottle of wine makes me loopy as shit.

You don't have to name wines that are in the $10 or less bracket, it's just what I typically aim for (I drink to get drunk). Lot's of shitty wines in that bracket. I was just more wondering if there are any wine drinkers around here. Share what you like, no matter the cost.

As Apothic Red, yeah it was OK. A bit too much mocha flavor IMHO, but decent.

I just had Turning Leaf Chardonnay 2009, and it was a pretty tasty white, with nice butterscotch overtones.

Also at the top of my list is: Door County Natural Wines Blackberry American Merlot, and excellent blackberry Merlot, goes well with steak. Also SKS Estate "Silk", which is a red blend.

Also why all the hate? I can't hate soccer and Europe and like wine at the same time? I hail from a state that is known for cheese, so it's pretty natural to like cheese here. Wine makes cheese even better, so it's logical to also like wine.

Keep hating soccer and euro fags.

Your state also produces Old Milwaukee. So by your reasoning you should also like shitty beer and a football team which folds under high expectations.

Yeah we do produce our fair share of shitty beer also. Gotta love it. The poor people have to drink also.

And you should say, a football team that excels when the deck is allegedly stacked against them. Just saying, did win a Super Bowl last year.

We also produce a number of top selling beers in the country. And your really going to bring that 1 game up?

Chile - Santa Alicia if you can find it; not too expensive, has some strong Merlots, and you will need to eat cheese with it to balance your digestive system.

Oregon - Panther Creek for Pinot Noir expensive and not so easy to find, but if you have this, you will know why some wines cost more than $10.

Napa - Moss Creek for Zinfandel anything older than 2007
