I got one, rarely use it.

There's a light to the left of it that is suppose to turn on when the camera is on.

This light turns on every time that I fullscreen anything flash...(ie: maximizing a youtube video will cause my camera light to blink)

It also blinks at seemingly random times...this thing is starting to make me paranoid. :party-smiley-004:

Just formatted, I'm fairly certain it isn't a trojan. My comp is Dell 1640, anyone else have this problem?

netbus! that suff was epic

Lol, yeah, remember Sub 7?

That's the one I use to use, never got someone with a webcam though. :(

put painters tape until you solve the problem

I just uninstalled the drivers for it; thanks for the suggest. though.

a little circle of electrical tape will solve this and no one but you will notice, so you dont have to explain that you are going batty.

Thanks for the duplicate suggestion... I don't want tape on my laptop, but thanks.

I've got a Gateway and have never had that happen.

Webcams still freak me out. I know it's all the rave now a days with the video chat and conferencing and what not but it's still just...creepy to me.

When I got caught... I just dullspaced - Now the circa doesnt even bother me.

Mines built in... so I guess I have a hardware that does all that.

On my one Dell laptops, it rotates, so I always point it up, but yeah, I am paranoid.

Most people don't know that your cell phone can be turned on remotely and listened to. The only way to stop that is to remove the battery. So if you're doing anything embarrassing, private or illegal, you definitely do not want your cell phone around. That means buying drugs, making threats, propositioning hookers, making radical political statements, discussing where you buried the loot, locker combinations and so on.

durrrrrr, can they still listen to it if I turn it off completely? (but with the battery still inside)

I know they can trianglate your physical position thru cellphone tower signals.

May you chat with a Dell's representative on this :D
go over to BHW not only will they tell you how to use it, you'll be banking in no time lol....
