This attack is pure crap. Can't believe it is happening. So sad.

No such thing as an "Islamic" name but you can understand what is implied. Very sad thing to happen, but you have to wonder how in the world did this happen?

Hope this doesn't lead to emotional or emergency legislation.

And regarding laying in wait, if the mob can do it, be sure that some radical group could do it. Not saying this is the case, but it isn't that far fetched. And if it is not technically a terrorist attack it will be considered one. Just a new form of it. Especially since it is military.

Yes, apparently there are multiple people being held in custody with one gunman dead. It bears similarities to the Fort Dix Six plan, which thankfully was never brought to fruition, which is where the ROP possibility is naturally derived.

If it ain't terrorism it's probably PTSD. However, that doesn't explain the multiple shooters.

I read about the "arabic sounding name" and the suspect in custody being an Army Major on one of MSNBC's update iterations. It appears the 'arabic' part has since been redacted.

Not sure about PTSD, I would agree that sounds right coming out of Killeen due to their activity in the wars but I was only making an observation from facts coming out of the news organizations. I heard the Soldier Readiness Center was one of the prime targets. Where the soldiers were preparing for deployment.... (vaccines, etc.)

I'm guessing these guys simply didn't want us over there in Iraq/Afghanistan for whatever reason.

There aren't necessarily multiple shooters. The two guys arrested with handguns could just be MPs returning fire. Should wait for more facts before we start speculating.

Apparently they were all Army, unclear if they were all enlisted or not. The Major was from Virginia, named Malik Nadal Hasan, and was a convert to Islam. I wonder if that's his natural name, or if he changed it when he converted. Could be a John Walker Lindh case.

I find it hard to believe one guy managed to shoot 31 and be lethal 1/3 of the time armed only with 2 handguns. This guy is the Muslim convert equivalent of Il Duce if he did this solo. Unlikely. Very unlikely.
