Why are people so insecure that they cannot be offended without resorting to wars / violence? You can say anything you want about my religion, government, country. I will not attack you. It does not affect my life. I am secure in my beliefs and values. As a benefit from this, when someone is doing something evil I can speak out against them without corruption.
You have to make a choice, either
A) you value a person's rights to speak against the government (something I understand to be fundamental to islam), choose their god freely and worship, and decide how to live their life
B) you allow PEOPLE to corrupt their own governments and abuse their religions for political gain without any repercussions short of eventual revolutions.
If you think these freedoms will be the end of America you are mistaken, they were its beginning and its continutal protector.
