Communist Scum Shutting Down Wisconsin Because The People Are Coming For Them

When are these scum gonna realize we owe them NOTHING? Not a job, not a guaranteed raise, not a pension, not fucking health benefits, NOTHING. You don't like how much you're paid, quit. You don't like how much you contribute to your pension, quit. If any private sector employee went to their boss and called them Hitler because he lowered their wages or raised their pension contributions, he'd fire them in an INSTANT. An instant. The discrepancy between what we allow in the private and public sectors disgusts me. I hope Walker fires every single one of them.

The whole public sector makes me sick, honestly. If it wasn't for defense, I'd say we abolish the whole thing. But teachers making 100,000 a year? Why does any public employee make a dime above their private sector counterpart? How does anyone allow this?

The libs on here are clueless as usual, the morons and dingleberries try to suck up as usual, and hardly any of the useful idiots realize this is a tactic that's been employed by the unions for years. Incrementalism, raise taxes higher and higher, make the disparity between public and private larger and larger until the government parasites have all the power and the engine that powers it all is exhausted.

Honestly, why the fuck are these lunatics protesting? Now it's spreading to other states, there is some serious shit going on here. Do they want the U.S. to go bankrupt? Do they want the dollar to collapse? I'm not talking about the clueless students or even the brainwashed teachers/firefighters ginned up by OFA, I'm talking about the real forces behind this. Surely they know what will happen if the states continue like this? What is their real goal? What is their endgame?
Where on earth do you get $100k a year for a teacher, especially in the state of WI?

Wisconsin Teacher Salary | Teaching Salaries in WI: $46,390

You are as usual poorly misinformed on the situation. Also remember this is salary and teachers routinely work more than 60 hours a week to grade childrens papers, help them with outside projects and do after school things for little to no compensation.

They also come out of pocket for students,

While hellblazer's methods and rhetoric are as childish as is typical, for once I am on the same side as him. Fuck unions, especially in public education and auto. Shit workers should be able to be fired instantly and anyone who says something to their boss like "not in the contract" is a shit worker.

You know how often private sector workers have to do shit that "isn't their job"?

Every fucking day.

There are lots of great documentaries about public education in the us that have come out in the last couple years and they show the damage teachers unions are doing. They also show how things work better at charter schools; everybody should watch them.

Where's the competition in employment opportunities when the state is the primary supplier of education?

There is none. Which is why there is no free market capitalism in this equation.

That's not true, private and parochial schools have existed longer than public education has existed, and hence provided a "market" for teachers. I fail to see to see the lack of a market in the realm of education (if you're going to limit the discussion to public education then fine but it's disingenuous in the context of whether a market exists or not).

Public employees have been raping the taxpayers of this state for long enough. If a married teacher elects NOT to take the teachers health insurance because they already have insurance through their spouse they get an extra $400+ per month. I know several teachers and not one of them ever brings any work home with them. The way the 100% tax-payer funded state worker pension is set up many of them will earn more in retirement than they did while they were working. The state and the tax payers simply can't afford these inflated salaries and fringe benefits.

Here's a link where you can see all the teachers and administrators salaries and benefits. Donna Struck is a 9th grade gym teacher.

Bobby said "free market. I said "free market". Seems pretty clear to me.

It is not possible to have a "free market" when you are forced to pay taxes to subsidize the institutional choice.

Teachers should definitely not make $100,000 year. That would be terrible. It's not like they have anything to do with the future of society. Not like say a derivatives trader who overleverages imaginary assets for the creative glory of the free market and then whines to the Fed when their lunatic algorithms demand more public cred to fulful their wonderful projections. Certainly that provides more value to society and should be rewarded appropriately.

You don't really think a collapsing dollar is even remotely affected by something like a few thousand teachers' salaries and benefits do you? That is...myopic. Forget the wars, that's probably a couple trillion. We're talking about hundreds of trillions of dollars of outstanding derivatives contracts that the dollar is supporting. You're barking up the wrong tree.

And if the country does default, which is likely with the current set of crazies in Washington, it will be because legislation refuses to raise the debt ceiling while at the same time Wall Street continues to receive the Fed's trillions in 0% credit that is needed for industrial production, national infrastructure, research and development, and any other means of financing real job creation. It won't be because a few sleazy union douches are grubbing for points on their contracts.
