Designing my office....your views?

In that case, you will gave no money left for someone to open the door for you.
Seriously, you can do enough damage with 30sq feet office, just focus on what matters - your biz.

With all of those moving parts, I can see that running out of power really quick if you don't wear it every day.

I think thats true for all that watches with many and heavy complications.

What i did not like too is, that they are so big.

But there is another cool one - same style but pocket watch:

+ My lap..

I don't believe in wasting money on shit like that.

Trust me, go broke a couple times, and you will stop worrying about what kind of stereo you have in the office.

Save your money, and get some more space, then you can have a private office with a door on it. Once you have that, you can worry about impressing people who open the door to your office with an amethyst table top or whatever the fuck you want to do.

But all of that shit is ridiculous if you are out on the floor with a bunch of other people. Nobody cares.
My cabin is 90 sq. ft, not the office.
$5k would get me 5 extra sq. ft of area. The amethyst slab is a nice 15sq ft for my entire tabletop. Cost-benefit ratio : leaning on the side of a luxurious table top.
sounds like a waste of money.
maybe it is, so? ;-)
last month was pretty good for me ;-)
seriously some pics would be cool? Are you based in India? and If so which city?
Mumbai. Where are you from?

Just a few more days for the pics. I don't wanna post any in-progress pics. They'll look shitty.
We need to move on the 10th, so the cabins are being done last, the area where the staff works is priority so we can shift as per schedule.
Don't you worry though, pics will be coming soon.

Scrap all that shit. Invest in what you really need -- a diamond pen. Just imagine all the women you'll get when they see you signing your name with this bad boy.

My father is into diamonds. My bling factor is over the top, believe me. (Especially when it comes to watches).
Just since you brought up the topic, I do have a diamond pen.

unless you can shut your door and have everyone leave you alone, it's not really "your office".
Go classical:
haha, yes, I can friend. My cabin is 90 sq ft, not the office. Excuse me.

I am a fan of the backrest on those couches. Got that on my chair, visitor chairs and sofa. All pure hide.

Really, I did consider it earlier but a contemporary feel goes better with IT and internet businesses. Also, with a traditional look, you need bulky furniture. I'm low on space anyways, hence had to scrap it.
I will however, have that kind of a look for a bungalow outside the city if I ever do get one in the near future. :P
~$5k table top
90 sq ft office
Does not compute.
The rest of the office is 550 sq ft, but my mum being the finance director needs a cabin, my manager needs a cabin. 90 sq ft is ample space for myself.

That much space costs over $400,000 on the current market.
Prices are almost $1000/sq.ft for commercial office space in any posh building, here in Mumbai.

ETA for pics: 10 days.
I don't wanna post any in-progress pics because they'll just turn you guys off. The place looks like a dirt hole right now since none of the cosmetic work is done. (like veneer, lamintation etc.)

Aaah, I get it.

Is "office" Indian for "basement", and does "cabin" mean "kitchen"?

When you start making money early in life, your mum's gonna want some credit for it. She doesn't really do much, we have a chartered accountant who "works in her department" but it's actually the CA doing all the work.
Mum never really comes to office, and her cabins probably going to be empty most of the time but well, if it makes her feel important, what the heck?

My mum has a cabin in my dad's office (he's into diamond manufacturing), and my younger brother's office too(he actually runs dad's factory but really, all he does is smokes joints there)..
All mum really does is takes a trip to one of the offices every alternate day for a couple hours to say Hi to everyone.

That's coz on paper, she's a part director for every company. (which is the main reason why I couldn't exclude her cabin from the design).

Here in India, we don't have the system of "moving out". It's not considered gay if you live with your parents. In fact, The world's 5th richest man, India's richest , lives with his mum :)

pics or your posting this from Starbucks wigi...

seriously go with whatever ergonomically works best and gives you the best comfort/productivity

from there worry about design

i have 1500sqft of my own and hated the original "design" and am now having to redesign based on what works.
