Save your money, and get some more space, then you can have a private office with a door on it. Once you have that, you can worry about impressing people who open the door to your office with an amethyst table top or whatever the fuck you want to do.
But all of that shit is ridiculous if you are out on the floor with a bunch of other people. Nobody cares.
My cabin is 90 sq. ft, not the office.
$5k would get me 5 extra sq. ft of area. The amethyst slab is a nice 15sq ft for my entire tabletop. Cost-benefit ratio : leaning on the side of a luxurious table top.
sounds like a waste of money.
maybe it is, so? ;-)
last month was pretty good for me ;-)
seriously some pics would be cool? Are you based in India? and If so which city?
Mumbai. Where are you from?
Just a few more days for the pics. I don't wanna post any in-progress pics. They'll look shitty.
We need to move on the 10th, so the cabins are being done last, the area where the staff works is priority so we can shift as per schedule.
Don't you worry though, pics will be coming soon.
Scrap all that shit. Invest in what you really need -- a diamond pen. Just imagine all the women you'll get when they see you signing your name with this bad boy.
My father is into diamonds. My bling factor is over the top, believe me. (Especially when it comes to watches).
Just since you brought up the topic, I do have a diamond pen.
unless you can shut your door and have everyone leave you alone, it's not really "your office".
Go classical:
haha, yes, I can friend. My cabin is 90 sq ft, not the office. Excuse me.
I am a fan of the backrest on those couches. Got that on my chair, visitor chairs and sofa. All pure hide.
Really, I did consider it earlier but a contemporary feel goes better with IT and internet businesses. Also, with a traditional look, you need bulky furniture. I'm low on space anyways, hence had to scrap it.
I will however, have that kind of a look for a bungalow outside the city if I ever do get one in the near future.
~$5k table top
90 sq ft office
Does not compute.
The rest of the office is 550 sq ft, but my mum being the finance director needs a cabin, my manager needs a cabin. 90 sq ft is ample space for myself.
That much space costs over $400,000 on the current market.
Prices are almost $1000/sq.ft for commercial office space in any posh building, here in Mumbai.

ETA for pics: 10 days.
I don't wanna post any in-progress pics because they'll just turn you guys off. The place looks like a dirt hole right now since none of the cosmetic work is done. (like veneer, lamintation etc.)
