Do you understand how long it takes to train a virgin? What if they never improve or don't want to learn? How do you know if they will accept any of your kinks? I took years to learn how to do things right and I'm a pretty fast learner. I still have things to learn 5 years down the line. Ignoring the fact WW2 ended in 1945 (I'm sure women felt incredibly safe getting a divorce while bombs are being dropped </sarcasm>), the amount of advertising of divorces on the radio or tv was basically zero, and the hold of the church on society was still pretty freakin huge. During that time divorce was NOT socially acceptable. I'm also sure that the question of "will she take it in the pooper" was never a deal breaker back then.
