How many of you with dogs give them raw meat? What do you give them? Have you ever had any issues with it? Cause any sickness in your dogs?

And please specify the type of meat you give them. Beef, pork, chicken? Is there anything special you do, such as freeze it for a couple weeks before you give it to them?

Uh no I like my dogs to be parasite free. They don't get ANY people food. Only high quality dog food and vitamins.

it's the best thing you can do for your animal. it's hilarious listening to peoples excuses.

'too old' 'too expensive' etc

switch em slow and you'll notice an almost immediate difference; bigger start off investment, savings over hte long run

Because dogs in the wild would eat packaged kibbles? Raw meat isn't people food, it's dog food. Packaged dog food is all marketing, you're buying into it.

no, I don't want his shit smelling worse than it does.

Yes, I'm a terrible person, but I value convenience.

On ocations I get him some raw bones to chew on.

Dogs in the wild don't live as long as dogs your home. A high quality dog food should be made from meat and other nutrition.

I am not talking about kibble or any low quality shit.

you make a bigger fool of yourself with every single post you make.

stick to making serial MMO forums.

1 portion of dog food in the morning.

half a portion of dog food in the evening + a healthy portion of boiled stripped chicken/duck/turkey, but with the eggs not removed yet.

Also cooked chicken/duck/turkey necks 1-2 times a week, as well as some raw/coocked bones(just not fish or chicken bones from wings/legs, they get very sharp when cracked, because they're shallow) in the weekend as toys(forget those plastic shit).

You'll make a very big, very healthy and very smart dog in no time, and he/she will love you for it.

Ok, who has given their dogs raw pork, and if so, any issues?

Occasionally I've gotten my guys a 1kg slab of beef, slice it up a bit, and let them chomp down. They absolutely loved it, and thought they were in heaven, and never an issue. Not often, because I'd rather cook them a rice stir fry with chicken and pork or something, so I can sneak some veggies in. Try to go by 60% meat, 20% starch, 20% veggies.

Couple weeks ago was shopping, and picked up a couple packages of pork fillets for them. Read up on it, seemed fine, and they were vacuum packed from a Tesco, so I assumed clean. One of them put one filet down, and now has a massive eye infection.

Took him to my standard vet, and he said goto the hospital. Go to the university animal hospital, doctor takes a look, and without any questions asked if he ate raw pork. He specifically said "pork" too, and not "meat". I assumed it was fine, but obviously not.

Where did all you losers come from? Stick to living in your moms basement.

just stick to be a spammer, trying to make money off inexperienced people with your stupid ass forums and gtfo.

when someone calls you for what you are, you suddenly become very "touchy".

Trichinosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

^ Pretty common, even in human grade pork. Hence always cooking it well done.

yes you do spam. And you've been called for it. And i've seen it with my own eyes.

OOOOOOh, wait, it was some stupid shit that the unsubscribe link didn't work, right? it's not working for several years i guess.... And FWIW, still does not.

my point is that you're a giant douche who spams and starts serial MMO forums and charge for them. You should stick to that and not give stupid advises.

Hey guys,

I usually don't post here. But a raw food diet is the WORST idea. It's a fad diet, and our vet and every vet I've talked to advocates against it.

The reason is this, yes in the wild animals eat raw meat, but those animals also have ecoli and other diseases that come from eating that meat. They aren't as dangerous to the animals, but what's been previously stated is correct, they live a shorter life span than our pets.

It is also dangerous to owners, these diseases can be passed to YOU as well from bacteria in the food and if your dog gets sick. In the end it's your choice what you feed your dog and everyone says something different. We feed our dog a high quality dog food that is all made from real cooked meat, with a small mix in of vet quality dog food incase the dog is sick, he knows the taste. We treat with Ziwi Peak dried jerky (no artificial preservatives)

Hope that makes sense here..
