England vs USA

Fucking Americans teaching Englishmen history, how does that work?

Please STFU and return to your nearest McDonalds. I have a shed on my land that is older than your country. My shed speaks more sense than your lame-arse attempts at trying to convey your Wikipedia research as your own erudition.

Just remember; we beat your ass, and now we have McDonalds placed on your country :action-smiley-052:

We? Was you alive during 1775–1783? No, you weren't. And if you were, you'd fellow countryman would fucking laugh at your lard arse at even attempting to associated yourself with real men in defending their nation. And they'd probably rape your soft, plump girly arse.

And you think the standardization genius that was Ray Kroc would gladly accept you into the fold as one of his kind?

Keep up the post count, champ.

FUCKIN COME ON ENGLAND!

Fuck your shed and how old it is. Despite our country's age, we've advanced as a nation and I know America has flaws - BUT it has opportunities for people regardless of color to succeed. A Brit have have created James Bond - BUT we have Hollywood. Without Warner Bros., Harry Potter would still be a book. USA FTW!

As for Saturday's match-up. The USA will win and may all the cocky-ass Brits be pissed whilst they are drinking whatever beer you cocky-ass Brits drink and smoking their ''FAGS.'' Holla back bitch.

I predict that no matter who wins, or what the score is - soccer will never be more than the 5th or 6th most popular sport in this country. For the most part, we just don't give a fuck about it. The only people that like soccer over here are 10 year-old's and their parents. Once the kids go through puberty they normally move on to a different sport.

How the fuck do you even gamble on soccer? Seems like the over/under would always be 1.

Look on ESPN today, full front page there of that sport that apparently is the 5th/6th most popular sport your way. Not everyone in the States hates football/soccer and the great MLS league is making a big difference.

If I'm wrong and the majority of Americans do hate it, then you'd be the only country on the planet that does.

There's a million and one markets that you can bet on in a football match - just see Bet365.com.

Personally, I'll be sticking on 2 goals or more today cos it'll make it more entertaining to watch - priced at evens. General odds are when I last checked: England win is 1/2, draw is 16/5 and USA to win is 6/1!

A growing MLS fanbase + a growing hispanic population + a ever growing knowledge of the sport in the US = it will be huge in the US one day.

Oh, and by the way, Major League Soccer Average Attendance per game, is only 1,000 less than NHL. Just because you don't give 2 shits doesn't mean the rest of the country doesn't.

I always thought that Europe was some kind of refined, sophisticated place, until I went there and had to pay 2 pounds just to use the toilet.

I predict within 30 years it will be in the top 3.

C'mon USA, you don't stand a chance vs England. It's not about who won the war centuries ago or who's bigger or has more citizens. It's about who has better players, better game and better strategy and sorry, you loose...

Maybe against Steve McClaren's England you'd win. But, with Fabio Capello, England is one of the best teams right now. Although, to be realistic, England won't get near final game, that spot belongs to Brazil, Argentina, Spain or the Netherlands...

The World Cup is big news in America for the same reason Golf Majors and Tennis Majors or the Olympics are when they come around. ESPN covers them because they are a global brand, not to fill some huge appetite we have for it here in the States. These are championship events that necessarily draw attention. Show me a soccer highlight on ESPN at any other time though. We have the MLS here, but nobody gives a shit and it's never on ESPN. I don't even know if MLS games are televised here. Like any business, if there were money to be made on televising the games, they'd have a huge contract in place like Football, baseball etc.

If I'm wrong and the majority of Americans do hate it, then you'd be the only country on the planet that does.

Nobody said Americans hate soccer, we (the majority, not all) honestly just don't care. It doesn't register with most people here. No disrespect to the game itself, it just doesn't have the same draw as Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and probably even Nascar (as much as I hate to say it, since I don't consider turning left to be a sport), hell maybe even UFC. And don't forget NCAA football and basketball.

We have too many other sports here to distract us. What's the top 5 sports in France? Or Italy? See my point? Soccer is huge in most places because it is all they have. It is the only sport kids grow up playing in most countries, so the population has an emotional attachment to it. That just isn't the case here in the U.S.

lol ... for both games?

For the second one, first one was 'Balkan syndrome'. All teams in Balkans get too arrogant after beating someone stronger and then they fail miserably. The same thing happened to Greece after they've won Euro and Romania after torturing Netherlands in Euro qualifying stage. Their pompous behaviour results in epic failure...

However, in England, our team suffered heavy injury. Half of our team was consisted of players who, at the regular circumstances, don't even play international matches. And media bashing of Eduardo didn't help although Rooney pulled the same shit as Eduardo did just one day after him...

BTW: And what you did with Ukraine, that was not a coincidence, it was a pure revenge...

3-0 england, you might be a physical team, but in terms of overall ability, your about 5 levels below us.
