Richard Branson, although he's gone a bit 'save-the-world-hippy' lately for my tastes. Always tries to do the right thing, and is the epitome of someone who is in the right place at the right time (take the purchase of Necker island, and the signing to the Virgin label of Phil Collins and Mike Oldfield, for example).

Bill Gates forget about whether you love or hate Windows products, this man and his team have created the worlds best known brand. The simple fact that the company is being forced to relinquish some of its grip on the market is testament to its power. A marketing and business behemoth, if ever there was one. Oh, and he's giving a hell of a lot of money away to good causes.

I must have read The Art Of The Deal dozens of times in college, that was an incredible book. A must read. He's on the top of my list as well.

Especially when you consider at his lowest point years ago, when he owed banks hundreds of millions of dollars, he passed by a bum in the street and his wife said "Look at that poor homeless man, I feel sorry for him"

The Don replied "From a net worth perspective, he's worth more than me. My net worth right now is negative 2.5 million. His is zero"

yep, branson has to be #1 for me. Guy lives a pretty open life and doesn't seem stressed, ever, lol..
 
Jeff Bezos - people laughed at first of the idea of ordering books over a computer. There are tales of him sometimes still spending whole weeks working alongside the regular warehouse workers, with no reporters around or press releases issued.
