Fasted and Flushed Colon for 8 days in Koh Samui

Couple of questions.

Do you lay on that board and stick you head in the toilet? How does that set up work?

I take Psyllium Seed Husk supplement for the last 4 years. Everyone should, if you are interested in eliminating colon cancer from your future.

Haha. You lay on your back with butt up against the part that goes into the toilet.

I don't understand this 2-3 days of shit stored up line of reasoning. If I eat corn tonight, I'll see it tomorrow. I also drink a lot of coffee and take 2-4 healthy shits per day, so maybe I'm abnormal.

OP, my buddy flew to Thailand for exactly this, lost 15 pounds, then got sick as hell. Gained it all back within a couple weeks of returning though. I couldn't imagine basing a trip around that, when the first time I hit southern Thailand, all the new bacteria my system was exposed to accomplished the same thing, pissing out my butt for the first few days...thank dog for beach front bungalows.

This thread stinks.

I've gained about 2 pounds back. The first time I did this, I kept the weight off for over a year.

This is beyond stupid. Your gut isn't a fucking static sewage pipe that needs properly washing out once in a while.

It's a huge community of bacteria that you depend on to digest food properly. By sticking a pipe up there and washing it out, you disrupt that mix. You lose weight because you alter the osmotic potential across the gut wall, and water gets drawn out of your body into your colon, which you then shit out. Report back in a month and you'll have gained it back again.

Also, your entire gut lining is shed and replaced every week or two.

If you want a healthy gut, eat plenty of fibre to reduce gut transit time (the amount of time between eating something and shitting it out). There's plenty of evidence linking low transit time to reduced incidence of colorectal cancer. Also eat probiotic and prebiotic food to boost your beneficial bacteria. Don't fuck about washing them out with a garden hose.

It's been over 3 weeks and I've gained about 2 pounds back. Like I mentioned above, the last time I kept it off for over a year.

Read this on fasting and weight loss:

How Fasting Aids Weight Loss | Mark's Daily Apple

To all of the people who think this is bullshit. You should at least take a few minutes to read the stuff by Mark Sisson that I linked to in the beginning. There are health benefits to fasting. So even if the whole flushing thing is worthless, which I don't think is the case, there are benefits to fasting.

That's exactly how I was about to describe it. General night, say you get say 6 hours of sleep. Every once in a while though your body will say it needs more sleep, and you'll just crash for a good 10 - 12 hours. Feels amazing, right?

Same thing with fasting a bit, except it's for your colon, liver, and kidneys. Don't know if I'd ever do 7 days though, as I think that'd hurt me more than help me. 3 or 4 days I think is good though, as the body can easily handle that, especially if you still eat a salad here and there.

Does your body actually need this? Where are you getting the idea it needs to shut down from other than some 'logic' based off of sleeping habits.

Exactly, why don't people just swallow some bleach to kill all the bacteria while they're at it.

I've done a week long water fast, just to see what would happen. (Juice fasting is for pussies) You're better off doing a protein fast, so you don't lose as much muscle.

Anyway, the fast went roughly like this:

Day 1) No issues, lost a couple of lb water weight.
Day 2) Felt quite hungry, lost another couple of lb water weight. The term water weight could also be substituted for "shit in my colon". It takes between 2-3 days for your colon to clear itself.
Day 3) Mostly stopped shitting, drank a fuckload of water to avoid hunger pains
Day 4) Started losing around 1.5lbs of fat per day. Shit turned to liquid and was mild yellow.
Day 5) Started to get majorly pissed off. We're talking 24/7 angry for no reason
Day 6) Would have stabbed someone for a bite of food
Day 7) Quite literally delirious all day long, not to mention angry. Pretty sure after a few more days the angry would have disappeared, and I would have just been zoned out of reality

After my colon was filled up again, I had lost around 6lbs total. My skin cleared up, and I shit you not, a small wart on my hand disappeared - totally gone.

So here are my conclusions. The bulk of the benefit from a fast comes from your digestive system basically shutting down. Juice cleanses and all that shit don't really allow your digestive system to shut down, so they are mostly a waste of time (and muscle). Shutting down your digestive system gives your body a chance to focus on healing other shit, kind of like an extended sleep.

Considering that you have 2-3 days of shit in your colon, a cleanse of it is utterly pointless on all levels. Sticking shit up your ass daily is an easy way to upset your anus and get hemorrhoids

OP is retarded for paying to do a half assed fast and sticking shit up his own ass..

Basically I was going to say the same thing. Juice fast is not a real fast. It's nothing more than a starvation diet.

If you want to do a real fast do a water fast. Sorry to rain on your parade OP but you've been duped.

Ha. If you want to remain full of shit, who am I to argue? :)

Done multiple fasts before. Longest was 30 days. That was an experience.

Never flushed colon.

A lot of the weight loss when fasting comes from loss of water weight, as sodium leaves your body.

Big believer in the efficacy of fasting.
