I can honestly say by the end of the season I was actually finally liking the new characters. Always sad to see a good show shut it down as there is no good way to really end the series usually. Overall I thought it was maybe 7/10, good but not great. Will miss it for sure.

I was an extra in the park episode. Where the little girl fell off the carousel. I don't really watch the show. But Hugh Laurie directed it and he was a pretty coo dude (for a Britfag).

I enjoyed the series, had some quality shows over the years, but it was time to shut it down. I think the show ran it's course and was a good time to end it. Did have some pretty hot doctors though. Now waiting for final season of Breaking Bad in July.

Same here.
House died quite a while ago and the shuffling of the characters did not improve it.
Time to shut down and move on.

first seasons(with the original team) was the shit. Really great. Easily top 10 of my favourite series...

Than it got kinda boring and I was watching just because of Hugh Laurie and the past glory of the series...

House jumped the shark when they killed off Kutner in the lamest possible fashion. I really lost interest in the show after that, and basically only came back to it just to make sure I didn't miss the finale.

House, overall, was an above average show, but it always seemed like the writers would overreach at crucial moments. Killing off Amber was another completely pointless move.

As for the finale itself...ehh...I'm sad to see it end, but I think it would have been more plausible to kill Greg off once and for all. It would have been a fitting end for such a resolutely nihilistic character. But I agree with the above poster, it rates about 7/10.

Kutner yes killing him off mid season but killing off amber was just fucking nuts. that episode was crazy.

They had to kill Kutner off mid season, he decided to leave the show to work for the Obama administration. What pisses me off is they never really explained it, they left it wide open that he killed himself. Lame.

Again it's hard to bitch about a series that has run 8 seasons. Yeah some seasons where a lot better than others. I dono maybe I'm a bit of a fanboi but I pretty much like to love the entire franchise for the most part. I compare it to listening to some music albums, you don't always understand right away what the artist is trying to do so you call it shit. But after listening to it a few times, you start to go, yeah I get it. I guess that's just how it's always been for me and 'House'. Some episodes don't seem that great, but put them together and generally they shine.

Oh, and it's Lupus. It's always Lupus.

they didnt have to kill him off. lisa edelstein left the show they didnt kill her off.

Hmm. Call me a sceptic, but I'm not entirely convinced it's the end of House.

It was left wide open IMO, it would be easy enough for them to resume if they want to, say in a few years time. There will be demand for it and I'm sure after a long break as long as Hugh is up for it, it would happen.

Actually it's always sarcoidosis!

I loved 1-6, but after Olivia Wilde left the first time, that was when I feel it started to go down hill. I never liked the "clean" house. He was always better hopped on on vicodin. The Cuddy relationship wasn't bad for the show, but he was too much of a nice guy during that phase. Overall pretty damn good show, but it had run it's course. Fitting ending as well. Two thumbs up.
