How do you personally define "rich"



When you just don't feel the need to buy anything anymore cos you have everything you need to make you happy.

america = welfare / food stamps / 'disability' / = not having to worry about money = rich

if you're not a materialistic person, what else do you need? your basic needs are covered.

Everyone posting in this thread need to read "How To Get Rich" by Felix Dennis, if they haven't already. It's about the only honest guide to making money from someone who's actually done it. It's also a very funny read.

Personally, I'm shooting for "comfortably off".

Many things are more important to me than money + possessions, and reading that book taught me about the price you have to pay for making that much money. It's not something I choose to do.

Yeah, I agree.... a lot of people I know make a good deal more money than I do, but they have to work hard, long hours for it. I get up when I want, spend all the time I want to with my kid, and only work with who I want to, when I feel like it. I'd like a bigger house with some land, and to go on holiday a little more, but there's really not much more I want.

Was just about to post that - great book.
 
30k a month ( 10k passive income a month, 20k steady cash flow ), so when you get old you have 10k a month with banking earnings. 120k a year of passive cash is very comfortable living.
