How many hours do you sleep in a day???

6-7 at night, 1-1.5 nap around 3:30pm during the day.

No matter where I am or what I'm doing, I become a total piece of shit in the mid-afternoon. I can tell within minutes of it being 3:15, and know I need to check out soon or find some serious stimulants.

days i workout, 6 hrs. non workout days 7 or so. i have a foam bed and after 8 months of sleeping on it its starting to lose its firmness, kingofsp have you noticed that at all with yours?

You're a good guy Hack but this is just ridiculous. What happened to the good ol' days where a guy hits the sack, and just falls asleep and wakes up? What's all this up, REM, sleep, up, REM, sleep crap? Damn, even in sleeping you guys like to complicate things.. just sleep man, most of us wake up refreshed after a normal night's sleep, and your schedule wont hold up once you gets kids or a partner in bed with you...

LOL hahahahahaha totally agree.... the guy's trying to do SEO even for sleep (Sleeping Engine Optimization in this case lol)

Six, maybe seven hours if I can carry myself to bed at a decent time.

Interested in more memory foam mattress discussion since I'm considering getting one soon.

when I was younger I could do 4 hours no problem, but im in my early 30's now, married, with kids, and real life responsibilities and need to have at least 6 hours to even barely function anymore.. do better if i have 8-10.

However, I have been getting 4-5 the last few nights because of some issues and have found that melatonin before I sleep gets me right if I'm only getting 4-5 hours. No stinging eyes and drowsiness in the morning. Is a real treat.

7-9/night. Occasionally I'll get ~16 hours on a weekend night if I need to catch up.

I start mentally lagging if I'm averaging under 8 hours/night for more than a week or so.

5-6 hours weekdays, 6-7 hours weekends. I love sleeping but it's unproductive. Eat right, exercise, good sex, positive thinking, and you don't need a lot of sleep.

Visualization is a big help. If my body is run down I visualize something that helps me rejuvenate as I'm falling asleep. If I'm stressed I visualize the stress moving away from me. If I want new ideas for a project, I visualize the different parts of my brain activating and creating new thoughts.

Sleep is a good opportunity to program your brain for specific purposes. The subconscious mind works much like a computer.

If I'm not talking to anyone or dating anyone this is my sleep schedule.
Go to sleep at 1-2am. REM and wake up at 3:30 fall back asleep at 3:45 REM around 4 wake up at 5 am. Fall asleep like 20 minutes later REM and wake up when my mom opens garage to leave to work around 7. Then I REM again and wake up around 8:30-9 feeling refreshed and not sleepy.

If you are only getting 3-4 hours of sleep, then you should have 20 other hours in the day you can be productive.

You get 3-4hrs of sleep but you're in bed for 7-8 hours. What's the fucking point man?

I sleep 7.5-9 hours/night, on a tempurpedic mattress with a heated mattress pad set on low during the winter. I'm catatonic and wake up alert as a mofo.
