Nicky's free to do whatever the fuck he wants with code released under the GPL.

They, on the other hand, they are shitting on everything that free software stands for by trying to profit off of it.

BTW: this stance has nothing to do with cakes. I read his blog occasionally but seldomly get anything interesting out of it.

I'm with you.
I especially hate the fuckers that encode the footer.
I go out of my way to de-code it and remove their links and credits. Or I just recreate the footer alltogether. :)
 
Maybe Mr Cakes made this theme and added his own gpl license crap?

either way who cares?
 
well well did you happen to check what the original theme was and if it was changed enough to where your point is meaningless? Guess not thats why you look like a douchebag now.

I don't give a fuck about nickybread but at least he presented original and copy you on the otherhand look like a douche.

Which honestly is fine. But problem is you didn't do your research to figure out where that little comment in the source came from.
 
All that about the people saying you can't change / remove the links in the footer really makes me laugh at the poor fucks buying sponsored links for WP themes over at DP
 
This thread and the zac johnson thread are pretty worthless. If it's your content that's being ripped off, then contact the person first and try to get it removed. If that's not worth your time (it probably isn't) just ignore it and make some more content.
