ObamaCare Upheld.

Just overheard my neighbor talking to his wife: "I mean, I don't think Romney is going to change anything, but at least he could stop it."

His wife: "Right!"

Him: "I mean, gridlock. I'd be happy with gridlock."

You do realize that MOST other 1st world countries have nationalized health care for a good reason right?

Well the US government already spends more per person on health care than other countries.

Medicare is a national social insurance program, administered by the U.S. federal government in 1965

Medicaid was created by the Social Security Amendments of 1965

GOP 2012 Candidates Opposed to Repealing Bush-Era Medicare Drug Benefit | Fox News

It's a massive health care entitlement with unfunded future costs over $7 trillion. Many conservatives are still upset at the way it was rammed through Congress.

But when the Republican presidential candidates were asked last week asked if they would repeal the Medicare drug benefit, they said no way. After all, Republicans created it.

Republicans want to pull the plug on the health care overhaul they call "Obamacare," but that law is arguably less a deficit driver than the Medicare drug plan they are defending.

Passed by a GOP-led Congress in 2003 under President George W. Bush, the prescription program is immensely popular with older people, faithful voters who lately have been trending Republican.

45 years of Medicare, Medicaid and 1,000s of government regulations = "USA! USA!"

Trillions of dollars Medicare expansion = "Thank God for Mr. Bush!"

Paying for Iraqi health care = "derp herp"

Obamacare = "THIS GUY IS AN EVIL RADICAL! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!"

^As funny as that sounds Mox, the thing about O-care that has peeps upset is that this is the first time we've been forced to pay taxes on NOT doing something.

Even with the income tax, you still had to earn something to get taxed, so there was a feeling, at least, of being able to "opt out." Now there is not.

Judge Nap said it best (At about 8:10):

Can tax payers "opt out" on having their tax money being used for Iraqi health care?

People with no earnings still aren't going to be forced to pay for anything.

In 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act expanded Medicaid eligibility starting in 2014; people with income up to 133% of the poverty line qualify for coverage, including adults without dependent children.

Of course we didn't have a decision where it went... This level of being outraged is what sets the socialist sheeple apart from the smart folks like you and I - And obviously this condition has lasted for years.

But O-care is unique in being the first time in history that the government has taken over a industry and then Taxed EVERY CITIZEN (Besides the obomba voters) who doesn't purchase it... Nothing really comes close to this level of financial intrusion in our lives.

It sets one hell of a precedent... Which Gov-controlled industries are they going to tax us for not using next?

I'm thinking Education. Too damn many homeschoolers out there bypassing the propaganda machine... Let's tax all homeschooling parents another 5% of their income, since they obviously are smart people who can afford it.

Sound extreme? But the majority of americans WANTED obombacare, so no, it shoud be pretty widely wanted.

EDIT: I just heard that inmates don't have to purchase healthcare without penalty... InB4 incarceration rates go up...
