I think Republican versus Democrat is for the retarded. It's a false dichotomy meant to keep the people fractured and at each others' throats.
This is merely the exact same Paulnut propaganda, phrased differently.
Conservative and Liberal talk radio play it up for the punters, riling up people against this one or that one. It's absolutely toxic, and nothing ever changes because the debate is never about the issues.
Conservative talk radio can be nauseating(does liberal talk radio even exist?), but not because it's a "false dichotomy", because they come off sounding like hacks. The only host I listen to with any regularity is Savage, who hates conservative talk radio hosts more than anyone I know.
Then when someone like Ron Paul comes along, who like his positions or not, is all about the issues, you accuse his supporters of not participating in politics as usual.
No, I accuse them of being stupid. He'll never win. You can rig all the polls you like, you can elevate him to sainthood, you could give him anti-aging serum so he doesn't look 90, you can continue trying to "explain" his foreign-policy ideas so they don't sound like national suicide to people - he'll never win. It's this kind of mythical quest the Paulnuts still think can happen, this dream that never dies.
You'd think for people that are supposedly so committed to capitalism, they would spend most of their time fighting its most ARDENT enemies, aka. the communists in the Democrat Party. You'd think they would take 70% capitalism or even 60% instead of the 100% socialism the Democrats promise.
You'd think they would look out at the political landscape and identify the people that are ideologically closest to their ideal, those that stand the greatest chance at winning, and understand that for the sake of pragmatism they might have to set their social views aside for the sake of the greater good.
Instead, what we get is endless Ron Paul discussions, these dingleberry followers who parrot everyone else because it's the "cool", "libertarian", "outside the mainstream" thing to do. We get endless bashing of Republicans who are a hell of a lot closer to them ideologically than the Democrats, and we get absolutely ZERO attacks on the very people who are 100% diametrically opposed to everything they stand for. It's like they're invisible. They get this huge pass and as a result libertarians are basically nothing more than this parasite on the Republicans and a HUGE boon to the Democrats. They unintentionally help bring about the very type of environment they so stridently claim to be against.
That's why I think they're delusional and psychotic. Not necessarily you, I think you're more idealistic and slightly more complex since you actually take the time to study these issues, but the vast majority of the others are.
Rand Paul (you do realize that's Ron Paul's son, right?) - He said 3 who aren't Ron or Rand
and
Sarah Palin who hasn't served on the federal level.
I thought you ran away with your tail between your legs. Don't even think about responding in this thread again until you post one anti-Democrat thread you've created or admit you're a hypocritical bitch and a fake.
Rand Paul is a REPUBLICAN, I don't give a fuck who guerrilla says I "can" or "can't" list. He's much more sane and mainstream than his father.
And I expect Sarah Palin to jump in the race any time now.
