So I go to register 20 domains, everything goes through fine, than my account gets flagged for "potential fraud", they dick me around tell me to do this and do that to verify (which I do) and they never get back to me. So I go to take my business back to godaddy and register the domains I wanted and HALF of them (the "good" ones) are all registered! By namecheap! :glowingeyes_sml:

I've used namecheap to search for available domain names, sometimes with good keywords in, the next day they have been registered... coincidence, maybe :)

+1 for internetbs . Simple straightforward platform without the bullshit and endless upsell hoops to jump through.

We'll see what they say back to me. Just funny how only some of the domains got registered. Only the ones that are "brandable"

I'm with namecheap since '08, not a single problem with them. They have by far the best customer support.

Screw godaddy.

Sounds strange! I've always been using Namecheap and never had any problems with them of that sort. Only had a small issue when I was trying to order a domain that their system filtered as having a trademark term in it so I had to get support to process the order for me.

Other than that it has been all good with them.

how long between the the account flag and godaddy?

I love Namecheap! Mad props to Namecheap! All Hail Namecheap!

And I'm dead serious too.

And yeah, have fun with GoDaddy when all of your domains come up for renewal. 20 bucks a pop, plus 10 privacy. I just renewed a ton myself, even after the coupon I wanted to cry.

If you head over to any of the large domain forums there are literally hundreds of threads about various registrars buying peoples searches. It isn't some secret that these list are compiled and sold. If you're going to buy a name, get ready to buy it from the start.

Never had a problem with namecheap, got 50+ domains with them at the moment.

No idea why anyone would want to do business with Godaddy....horrible horrible company.
