Stress

I've got a family of 6 that I support - so I know it can be stressful. I can't imagine trying to do so at 16.

I worked as a young man to help support my family so I know what's in your head - so I won't try and talk you out of it like half the posts up there.

Some advice from someone with kids almost your age, that's been where you have been.

- Finish HS. Sure it sucks, but at least get your GED. You have no clue what's in your future. Preparing for it should be what you are doing at 16.

- Your family ALL needs some schooling. One day you are going to crack from the pressure you are putting yourself under. After all you are only a kid still. You might feel grownup but you aren't. What happens if you go balls broke in 3 months?

Maybe something like picking up Dave Ramsey's 'total money makeover' on amazon. It might help your family with a new direction and future. It's not a crack pot solution - just help you guys get your budget under control, and plan for the future.

If you really want to be responsible for your family, it's time to help guide them in a better direction that doesn't involve you. In 5 years you are going to want something so much different than what you think you do now.

This is really solid advice. Teach your family how to help themselves rather than use you for money. Otherwise they will keep using you for money.

I still think they're huge assholes for using you like this though.

Honestly, listen to music when you wake up every morning before you even touch your phone or computer. Your day will go alot smoother. Reading some motivational books that get your creative ideas flowing is also a great way to get back on track.

Make sure your eating right, and getting good sleep. Makes a huge difference. At the end of the day, money is just paper and merely a way to keep track of the "points" you generated in this game of life. Nothing to stress over. The concept of life is the same, with or without money. Hang in there, because nothing in life is as bad (or good) as it seems in your imagination.

Yeah Ryan, started listening to music a lot lately and that is great. I used to be extremely good at the Sax so Music is something I love.

Finally spoke with my family, got them to get off their ass, I guess I put myself in this place because I always acted like everything is fine. They thought I wanted to do it for them, which is sort of true but now it's going to get better.

I swear, stress sucks sometimes.

Just make sure you don't let yourself get into the habit of internalizing your stress. I just recently suffered my first panic attack at 33 -- not fun. I thought I was having a heart attack and really had no idea why.

If you keep everything on the inside, you'll eventually keep it so far below the surface that your brain will have to manifest your problems physically to snap you out of it. By then you're going to feel a lot worse off than you do now.

Definitely find a healthy outlet and stick to it like your life depends on it.

Yeah IMHopeful, I've had that happen to me, a lot has happened to me so far in my life and relieving stress/emotion hasn't been my top priority. Fixing things has.

I'm moving out to SD in June, definitely excited to start ballin' with a partner of mine, going to have a change of scenery and removal from the stress of home.

Dunno what the law is where you live, but in UK you can't be held liable for most contracts you enter into under the age of 18 (joining the army and getting married are exceptions). That's why it's called the age of majority.

It's illegal to give credit to a minor except in very rare circumstances (like for food).

Tell whoever you owe money to to fuck off, unless they're the type to break your legs. They can't touch you.

Oh, and spend all your money on intoxicants and women. There's really no other proper way to to spend money for someone your age.

Join a military school, look up youth challenge academy. Most states have them and its free, state pays for it. Stay out of trouble, learn discipline, learn to live without your family...changes your life if you are smart.
