I like this Always Be Mailing (ABM) tip... Great way to summarize what this is all about. Here is a relevant visual -

always be mailing, always be split testing something

This is so true, and I haven't found a post as informative, and as truthful as this anywhere else. We are a new self help product, and we had the illusion of listing in the clickbank marketplace, making an announcemnt post on DP and getting a mass of affiliates :P

It is a start, but you are right in that real affiliate attraction is a full time job. I now spend my days half sending personal emails to bloggers / relevant webmasters one by one, and then writing articles for them to use, unique mail outs, offers... havent got into proper JVs yet but will as we grow.

Until reading this I was still kind of looking for that magic pill of affiliate recruitment, wondering if we were missing something, but I guess I will just continue doing the work myself, recruiting people one by one.

Good to know you have no personal gain by posting your knowledge - i.e. youre not in the IM field and trying to collect details - a real selfless and massively informative post - thanks!
Dan

i'll tell you what, if someone comes at me with actual data on ppc split tests, email epcs, demographic info, potential traffic sources where they've had success and where they see additional opportunities, and give aways (like the additional free reports), value ads that I can give (like coupons), real market research like market size (even keyword search estimates) and where the market is going, etc it tells me they know what they are doing, which is more than 95% of vendors. That makes it a lot more likely I want to spend the time to look at their offer.

The reason offers on CPA networks do so well is because CPA networks literally say "they are our epcs, this is converting well, run it on these traffic sources" and many of them put out weekly reports to their affs. After a while those affiliates start running whatever the network tells them to because of that relationship.

Make a template for your offer called "why you should run this", include all of those points, and you are way ahead of the game.

Nice to see you here Dan. Guessing you found this from DP loll.

What the hell goes on in this forum?

You get all of the jolly jokers putting in these fucked up links, and not only do the moderators leave them there, but you dumb asses continue to be members?

No thanks. I'm gone.

Get a sense of humor. A man with brains can shut it down in no time. It sure is funny imagining some cool cat opening that shit up at a family dinner or something, LMAO!

Though I'm sure this is a dickroll worthy question: What is everyone thinking about ShoeMoney's service? He seems to be top of the heap in the Affbuzz ratings. The product is new, and still has low gravity.

It looks like he's doing a lot of advertising himself, but I'm considering it. I don't like these kind of products, but I like his video idea for the landing page - he comes off real well.

Some nice info, DareDevil +rep. So just to be clear, you traffic solely in CB ebooks then?

Thanks. No, not just CB but it is a very large portion of my interests. I dip into several areas, including offers from aff. networks but I typically only do that as a supplement to something else. My favorite strategy revolves around finding the market first and then finding (or making) something to give them to get them on a list, then sell them something, then something else, then something else, and so on and so forth.

It's nothing new or Earth-shattering but it works and works well for me. I always use a pen name that I use as my "expert" and so I always make it so that my target market (email list, blog readers, twitter followers, facebook fans, etc) really identify with that "pen name" to gain their trust. Of course, I try not to ever burn that trust so I keep them coming back for as long as possible.

If they ban you they give you 48 hours to go in and download your leads. Then they shut everything down.

That is pretty harsh. Seems like this way you also lose access to historic data and reports, as well as the content you mailed.

Have they done this to you or someone you know?

Yeah it is. No, luckily it hasn't happened to me - they just forced double optin. But it has happened to a friend. To say that he was pissed would be quite an understatement.

Their spam complaint limits are truly retarded. I always break them on broadcasts. I remember a couple of years ago I sent a Merry Christmas Email to a small list of people and still got complaints. Go figure.

I'm pretty sure FatLoss4Idiots was created by the Wealthy Affiliate guys. I remember eons ago I used to be a member there back when they first launched it. Glad to see they're doing well.

I think you're right.

Wow some awesome stuff in here thats for sure. I have worked with CB in the past and have had a few successes. One was doing great until google killed the campaign for being a affiliate. I have been really meaning to get back into some of the stuff I tried out but with list building. I still haven't gotten around to it yet though.

Quick question on the topic though, where do you find PLR articles to send out in these emails?

You can buy PLR from lots of places.

Or if you know where to look, it's "shared" at other places.

Doesn't matter if 100 people are already using it for their websites if you're only using it for your autoresponders.

I do actually buy some - read: not much, but some - PLR and MRR books for $3 to $5 a pop from some of the websites out there that sell it, totally rebrand it, and distribute it as bonuses or freebies too.

As long as its relevant and the content is actually good, then it works fine.

Reverse phone search and background checks, man people love performing those.
Yeah right bro! People who buy make money online books sure have TEH 1337 SKILLZ to do all that shit. Especially, if you know how to hide behind corporations or are offshore.

Another question, if I lapse paying for AWeber is my data lost too or I simply lose access to features that can be restored if I pay later?

They keep your data for 90 days or so and then delete it forever. Moreover, your account will be suspended and you'll not be able to access or download your leads.

In case, if you wish to reactivate your account, you'll be asked to pay all the outstanding monthly payments even if you didn't use the service because of your suspension

In a nutshell, they know how to suck your blood pretty well... :)

Cheers!
