To Those that Lift Weights - Supplements?

By "good" protein powder, what do you mean? Aren't they all the same when it comes down to it? I have protein powder but I eat so much meat that I am skeptical about how much extra I should take. I also drink those little cans of nutritional drink, 9G's of protein for each one and I drink about 4-5 of them a day lately.

Whey over Soy. Also some protein powders are all about tasting good so they just load it with sugar. Some also come with heaps of calories for people who struggle to put on weight.

I haven't had problems putting on mass, but now I want to reduce my body fat ratio while still gaining/maintaining muscle. I mainly just have fat on my stomach and on my sides. I went from about 155-160lbs to 190lbs in about a year.

Any recommendations for women's fitness?
Nothing that will get us women big of course, maybe something that will help cut fat and look lean (in addition to cardio and weight training)?

HIIT for both.

forget it. asking geek guys about women and/or fitness is a joke. i'll research more myself.

not everyone here is a "geek" (or at least not everyone looks like a star wars nerd), but to answer your question, even though it's pretty much already been answered, i would say that as a female you simply need to eat healthy and do cardio. i mean if you do that and still look fat in a few months, then i dunno what the problem is

ummmm... maybe.
as for the fitness advice... i'm in pretty good shape and i workout 4 to 5 times a week and eat pretty good... i don't do a lot of cardio and it's not as necessary if i lift enough... i think i was looking for something different... thanks anyways

i don't really understand what you mean... what are your goals? and cardio is different than lifting weights, so maybe you should try that.

You may be interested in CrossFit. Check out some of the ladies there, they are lean as hell. Might be worth looking into if you are looking to switch it up a bit.
