Bottom line - US affiliates are pretty much screwed. While a tiny percentage are creative enough to figure out a way, the overwhelming majority of people just can't compete with non-US affiliates who can still run farticles, etc. and don't have to worry about the FTC. Talk about an uneven playing field.

Even US-based advertisers are going to feel the hit. The FTC shit we've seen lately is only the tip of the iceberg. The FTC is going to step things up and curb pretty much all kinds of "deceptive" advertising. US-based advertisers are going to have to start actively policing their affiliates, which is going to screw up everything. Your affiliates are using deceptive tactics to promote your offer? You better shut them off or you will be held liable. Your affiliates don't want to reveal how they are promoting your offer? You better shut them off or you will be held liable. The writing is on the wall ...

This guy in India I was competing against is probably banking super hard now that the FTC wiped out all of his US-based competition. Yeah he's running farticles.

Oh noes we actually have to stop being deceptive and match the landing page with the offers, which will improve our relationship with the customers, aff networks and advertisers, which will in turn be more sustainable long term.

Or wait.. hold up, you mean you might have to actually market something truthfully? OH NO, why not just innovate, and figure out how to bank in a truthful sustainable way?

Rebills themselves cannot be marketed "truthfully" because in their nature they are deceptive and there is no way you will be able to profit by putting in-your-face disclaimers that say "YOU WILL BE CHARGED 189.99/MONTH AFTER 7 DAYS".

So the major verticals of the CPA industry will need to be totally changed.

Hey don't get me wrong, I'm all for it. I believe in karma and don't rely on fucking people to make money. Just stating what seems to be pretty obvious to me, for those who think that what's happening is no big deal. This is a game changer ...

If you're check flows through american (working with a usa affiliate company?) they could put a stop on that very quickly. You're not really protected overseas. USA is the police of the World unfortunately they sit around all day thinking up shit to screw you and can if they really wanted to.

Wow affiliates might have not lie about what a produrs dies to sell it?! But i thought acai was going to make me lose 30lbs in two weeks! Or that one pill would grow my dick 4 inches in days!

What people are doing now is NOT marketing, its lieing. The FTC has every right to hold these idiots acountable. Dont kid your self thats its just fluffry, and what you are doing is legal because its not. Sooner or later you will get caught. Its just a matter of if that quick buck now is worth it.

Not true at all, you don't need to say amounts like that upfront, and why not work with advertisers who don't bill like that?

You just can't make up fake stories, you're missing the point that its the advs job to do the disclaiming about the trial on the page, its the way you SELL it that's the problem. If you instead just made a info landing page about it or email squeezed to advs page, its a hell of a lot more compliant, may not convert quite as well, but beats having your money taken by the ftc.

If all you know how to promote is shady rebill shit, and you never learned how to diversify and promote other types of offers, then when the smackdown comes, there's only one person to blame.

How the fuck do you plan on competing for media if your compliant promotions of compliant advertisers don't convert as well as the non-compliant promotions of non-compliant advertisers that you have to compete with??

lol look at me im an affiliate.. i copy the same page everyone has... just go to the same network i saw it advertised... use the same ad copy.. and rotate offers!!

i'm so smart and such a good marketer!

You are a truly shitty businessman and marketer if you believe this.
