Zensix hosting = FAIL

If I bought $10/year hosting I would be doing it fully expecting that most things weren't allowed and the admin didn't give a shit.

That's why I don't buy $10/year hosting.

If you can only afford $10 / year hosting you're doing it wrong.

Get a real host, stop fucking around with rinky dink outfits and quitcher bitchin.

OP is going with hostgator now. Nothing realer than hostgator..

for the record i have no issues with zensix. host a few small sites there. don't need Installatron. what you new? can't upload wordpress.

Just out of curiosity, what about tools like Auction2Post (turns Ebay auctions into posts at set intervals)? Would that be unacceptable?

Never had any sites with zensix. Years ago when they first started spamming WF looking for clients I decided to give them a try. Never got past the setup phase. In trying to resolve the issue, I was given a ton of the same attitude displayed in this thread. That was the end of the story for me.

I've never been in the hosting biz, so I'm sure it's much more of a pain in the ass than I realize, but even so, It's a poor excuse for shitty customer service. I feel much better doing business with happy, friendly and courteous companies.

the cheapest hosting i pay is a VPN hosting, cost me 20 bucks per month. you guys need to up your game.

subigo doesn't like you or your $10

should have taken those tears and supersized it with some fries

and a happy meal

I pity the fool that sign up with my hostin', cuz once u start complaining I get to abuse you at no extra charge

All that you expect is too much for $10 a year. Did zensix hijack your domains or something? Just leave if you don't like it.

Never used zensix myself but if you are comparing zensix's $10 a year plan with hostgator's $10 a month plan, you must be retarded

Pays 83 cents a month, expects heroic support. You should try liquidweb or hostgator

Bullshit. I don't even expect heroic support from my $70/month VPS, I have root access and if something needs fixing I fix it. The job of the hosting company is to simply keep the server running and network up. I would much rather fix shit on my own then deal with even the best of support staff.

My issue with zensix was never a support issue. Like I said, I never had any sites up with them. The assholes charged my credit card, then instantly terminated the account. They finally did refund/reverse the charges, but not without dealing with way too much attitude and abuse.

Liquidweb or hostgator? Are you high? Hostgator's no where in the same league as liquidweb, they serve two completely different niches.

I had used VPSs from ZenSix back in the day when they offered them. Never had an issue, they did cost more than $10 a year though...

To all the bitches bitching about your shitty, cheap, shared hosting - go fuck yourselves. You get what you pay for.

Installers... Installatron and Softaculous are both pieces of shit. I'm not going to run buggy scripts so someone can save five minutes of their time installing Wordpress.

But once again, I'm not going to run shitty software, so WHMCS got the boot.

Those emails you're using haven't been valid for a very long time.

The MX records disappearing was the result of a bug in DirectAdmin. An email went out about it.

As for 12 hours of downtime... not sure where you're connecting from, but we haven't had any outages. The was a lot of packet loss at the datacenter between 4am and 11pm CST this morning (due to a bad switch), but no outages. *shrug*

You mean the community forum?

No, the helpdesk. The thing you submit tickets to and get replies from.

Too bad you don't have any competent sys admins. If you did that wouldn't be a problem.

Not much you can do when people are hell bent on sending spam and don't realize there's a daily cap. Even with a crap, spam gets through and people report it to spamhaus, etc. If you allow email, people can spam, there's no way around it. All it takes is one complaint. Even when the cap was down to 100 a day, things still ended up on blacklists. And even when people with accounts aren't sending spam themselves, they're hosting ancient Wordpress installs, just ripe for a bot to bounce shit from.

Anyway... rabble rabble rabble! I hate ZenSix Hosting! $0.83/month is serious business! I host my very important site with them and moving to best-of-the-best (HOSTGATOR!) will surely result in a few days downtime, which will cost me THOUSANDS of dollars!!!

Subigo is such a dick to his clients! So unprofessional! waaah-waaah-waaah

If I could get away with just giving people shell accounts and no control panel, I'd do it. But, when compared to Softaculous, DirectAdmin looks like it was coded by God himself.

Well I'm going to go off topic... by saying something positive...

I use a variety of hosts, one of them being ZenSix where I've never had anything to complain about.

You have the wrong attitude to be a successful host, my friend. I think you're supposed to appeal to the clients, not piss them off because of personal opinion. We use Softaculous and haven't had any complaints about it since day one.

I think I don't give a fuck what you think or what software you use, my friend.
