anyone here recover from penguin yet?

Multiple sites, it's not that hard if you do the opposite of what you did before and the opposite of what everybody is doing now.

Discussing this publicly is only slighter smarter than playing docking station with a live rattlesnake. If you can't understand why, continue to enjoy your shit fuck traffic and reduced earnings.

^this 110%

Keywords stuffing meta tags, keywords stuffing with text the same color as the background, and hacking wordpress blogs to add links in the footer is what fixed penguin for me.

I asked for a reconsideration request and now I'm ranking even better than I was before Penguin.

No one wastes time testing shit that's already been tested and proven by somebody else. That's not how evolution works buddy.

Sure glad I don't believe in evolution then cause your thinking is screwed. You compare forums to scientists working for a common goal? Then you take what is said without testing first and then come here crying because your sites get slapped?

I think its time for your thinking to evolve buddy.

And Yes, I have had one of our properties make a comeback from the penguin. What did we do? Short answer: Removed all shitty links and waited patiently in the penalty box.

I recovered quite a few sites from Penguin. My process was like this:

1.) Mope around for a month like a bitch.
2.) Transfer the site to new domains.
3.) Get ranked faster than everyone trying to recover from Penguin.
4.) Profit.

How to sell you next service guaranteed 101:
Find people that are desperate (in this case Penguin victims). Talk about some secret you discovered and how you are doing exactly the opposite of everyone else. This way you seperate yourself from the crowd and indirectly tell them you are the only one that can help them. Although you are totally full of shit and are only talking out of your ass they now see you as an authority, someone who can help.

Now the way I see it there wasn't a Penguin refresh in a long long time so everyone here that is telling you that they got 235453453 sites out of the penalty and increased their traffic by 54354645689506% since Penguin might just not be telling the truth.

Best solution? Stop reading the shit here. Otherwise you will be forever trapped in the secret magical knowledge and service wheel. The only one who can't win that game is you.

You couldn't have had many shitty links if you could remove them. Most people I see hit by Penguin have thousands.

Yes if all your site has is shitty links, pointing directly at it, then it is hard to do anything, if you have a good mix and control most of the spam yourself then it is easier. Always better to use a middle man that can be removed for any questionable type links.

There are two options. You can remove the bad links. ( you can search the internet) or you can out number the bad links by creating quality links.

I suggest increasing the amount of quality links and not spend too much time removing the bad ones.

My secret steps to post-penguin success:

1) Login to your domain account
2) PM me, I will tell you my domain username and provider
3) Transfer domain to me
4) Backup your site to .zip, put it in Dropbox and share Dropbox with me
5) ???
6) Profit.

I am not aware of a single recovery story so far, and I talk to a lot of people in this space. Doesn't mean there aren't any, but it isn't something that happens often, or it's likely someone would have said something to me.

I see what you did there.

This is good stuff. If I wanted to play this angle though I'd buy penguin hit sites on the cheap and restore their rankings. On that note, anybody got any penguin hit diet domains they want to unload?

Yes, I have. So have a lot of the big guys that work agency-side. They talk about it frequently on twitter, if you're curious.

Marketers gonna market. Helpless people gonna be helpless. Nothing wrong with it. Question is where are you standing and do you like it?

the thing is that people got hit at different levels.

those that only lost a few spots (cf. went from page 1 to page 3-4-5) were probably able to restore their rankings by now, but those that were algorithmically discarded (cf. literally kicked out of the Google SERPs) are probably gonna struggle for a while.

TO ALL THE POSTERS ABOVE ME:

i'm deeply annoyed, upset and mad. U know why?

OP did not ask "Hai gais Im a noob can u explain penguin for me plz kthx".

He asked IF ANYBODY RECOVERED FROM PENGUIN YET, so stop telling him what penguin is or is not about. That's not the point of the thread.

It's been months and we all know what Penguin is about by now because we all read shitloads of articles on search engine land, seobook, search engine watch, seomoz, microsite masters, search engine journal, matt cutts blog, google inside search, google search quality blog, google's official blog, search engine roundtable, search engine guide, search engine people, wickedfire, traffic planet, warriorforum and more!

I know penguin more than I know my mother for fucks sakes... so STOP WITH YOUR PENGUIN 101 and let's get to the core of the thread: HAS ANYONE RECOVERED FROM PENGUIN YET? If yes, let's hear what you did (or did not do) to recover... but for the love of everything that's gay, stop telling us what we already know.

Yours truly,

EvilPenguin

lol?

I've got a few sites penguinified. My anchor/URL distribution was clearly dumb. I'm working to get those sites out of the penalty.
