In an effort to keep WickedFire neutral in this shitstorm, I'm posting this on behalf of Steve Richter, President of CPA Empire:

We would like to set the record straight regarding the recent allegations posted on this forum by one of our Affiliates.
  1. The Affiliate was blacklisted by the Advertiser for using non-compliant creative to promote the Advertiser’s offer. The Affiliate’s noncompliant creative was also a breach of our Terms and Conditions regarding proper advertising conduct.
  2. Despite the fact that our Advertiser blacklisted the affiliate from this particular offer, and breached our T&C’s, the affiliate was paid all commissions he generated for the offer. The Affiliate did not lose one dime from this incident.
  3. After the affiliate was blacklisted by the Advertiser, we ran a limited internal test campaign on this offer, utilizing the approved creative which was available to all affiliates, in order to establish a baseline conversion rate. In this case, the compliant creative produced a conversion rate that was 75% lower than what was generated by the affiliate running the non-compliant creative. This process does not “steal” leads from our affiliates, but does allow us to better understand the metrics of conversions.
  4. We do upon occasion run internal test campaigns to help establish a benchmark conversion rate on various offers. We then utilize this information to work with the advertiser to develop approved creative that will produce better results for our affiliates when they run the offer. This process is not done to generate internal revenue.
  5. Our affiliates are the core of our business. We have been in the affiliate marketing industry since 2001 and have always prided ourselves on delivering the highest quality affiliate support and service. We value the relationships with each of our affiliates very highly and always strive to work together to resolve any issues or disputes. In every case where we have had the opportunity to discuss issues with our Affiliates we have worked together to reach a mutually satisfactory result.
  6. With regard to scrubbing, we currently use a third party tracking system which does not allow us to scrub. If there is scrubbing, it is at the Advertiser level which we cannot control.
We have spoken with the Affiliate who made the recent allegations and have reached the conclusion that the affiliate manager likely contributed to the misunderstanding by not effectively communicating the reason behind the blacklisting decision by the Advertiser. The Affiliate has told us that he now understands why the decision was made and has no disagreement with us. In fact, the Affiliate wants to meet with us and renew our business relationship. We look forward to that meeting.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this or any other issues, please contact either myself or your affiliate manager or one of the CPA Empire team members listed below.

Sounds a bit strange that as soon as the affiliate was blacklisted, CPAEmpire ran a test campaign on the offer. Then the statement saying that the affiliate manager didn't communicate properly with the affiliate; just sounds too typical.

The last thing I wanted to mention is that if they were actually as innocent as they make themselves to be; then why didn't they respond to the thread regarding them. Why work out a deal under the table. If everything they did was clean, then there isn't a reason to do any deals under the table.

In an effort to mitigate disappointment, deleted threads should redirect to skittles thread instead of giving error message.

Neutral would consist of having the other opening post and Richter's side by side with a link to the video. Or at the very least a link to the other thread that was deleted.

An acceptable action on CPAE's side would consist of a greater level of transparency. According to this we'll just have to take Scott's word for it. It's a good thing his reputation is squeaky clean.

:repuke:

Crisis averted! back to the high-volume email deploying!

Neutral is not the word if one side's story is deleted.

Well now that I hear CPA's side of the story, i will agree that they fucked him. Which is totally retarded on their part because they gave up some cash and had to wipe some shit off their face. Would it have been so difficult to tell the guy his creatives were hot and that the whole network was going to use them and give him an override % on the campaign for boosting sales by 75%? Everyone including CPA would have been happy banking. But when your a prick, you think like a gay dick, how I am i going to stick it in this guy's ass without thinking i will be getting stuck in the ass too.

Totally agreed! Would like to hear from the affiliate again.

Yeah well, its all I could do since both sides aren't posting anything themselves. Trust me, I wish they would do so, so that I wouldn't have to. Keeping my life stress free for the last month or two have been a godsend, and I'm definitely not looking to peak back into that world anytime soon.

don't they use DT as a back-end?

You can ABSOLUTELY scrub with DT, not at all accusing anyone of doing anything- I know neither of the parties here and don't care, but wanted to set that straight if indeed they do.

To be honest, I believe CPA E on this one. That's all I gotta say.

My experience with them has been great, and payouts were on time etc.

I hear ya, remind me never to open a forum. Too much overhead for my taste.

The exact response one would expect...

"This process does not “steal” leads from our affiliates, but does allow us to better understand the metrics of conversions."
That's like saying I fucked your girl so I can better understand the metrics of intercourse.

That's like saying you kicked a black guy's ass so you could better understand hate crimes.

Instead of taking the high road, apologizing and owning up to shady business practices, CPAE decided to try and place the blame on the advertiser and the affiliate and the affiliate manager.

Public Response = Fail.

So, when can we expect the "CPAE Roll like a trillionaire" contest? Launching a contest seems to be the thing to do after public lynchings...

Makes the whole statement non-believable.

Hahaha:bowdown:

i hope we see a response from the thread maker of the other thread... i find it hard to believe he would beleive what this guy from cpae said and understand completly and want to go to lunch to get back to together with them... i smell BS

Dude... you've done $450 with CPAE in October... this guy was doing twice what you have done all month in a day. Not be an a** but he was playing a different ballgame, which you have not experienced, at least not this month. $450 is but a blip on their radar, sorry to burst your bubble.

And... directtrack can scrub... sorry to let everyone in on that secret too.

Can you elaborate on how you can ABSOLUTELY scrub in DT? I run a network utilizing DT technology and have yet to find that magic scrubber i hear affiliates talk about. Can you post screen shots of this scrubber? DT willl give you a demo which can help you get the screen shot to post to prove your comment correct.
