How many hours do you sleep in a day???

I normally sleep about 8 hours a night. I just had something take off and havnt slept more then 4 hours a night for the past week. I have to juggle school, work and this.

I used to sleep way too much, then I switched to memory foam. Now I sleep like 8 hours max and wake up feeling like I slept 12.

3-5hrs depending if I REM. I have taught myself how to REM right away which is the only sleep your body really needs. So you are tricking your brain/body that you have slept for 8-10hrs which is what you really need. I can hop into REM like 3-5 times/night and wake up without feeling sleepy at all. If you have any questions just ask I have some techniques. Also in REM you can lucid which I love doing. If you're not REMing you're just wasting time in bed cause your brain doesn't sleep without that state

Do you do that polyphastic sleep stuff (or whatever it's called)? Like, you sleep a 4 or 5 hour chunk and then take a few naps at the right times?

I've always wanted to try this.

Yea dot hack, I'll bite, REM facilitates memory, and as the work we do is mostly mental, should suffice. What is your technique?

I like sleeping so much, but sometimes there are loads of work that compells me to take a graveyard shift. I enjoy Saturdays and Sundays, because it's the time when I get to enjoy a long and relaxing slumber holiday.
