Thought you guys might find this interesting. I've got mad respect for this dude. There's nothing more motivating to me than to know that there's a 26 year old billionaire out there.

Also, looks like facebook will be rolling out new profile pages tomorrow.

Zuckerberg is a huge cunt that was just in the right place at the right time, and a shitty executive. He'll blow it all or lose it all.

Why would you say something like that about a stranger? :(

You know "the social network" was just a movie right?

I doubt he'll "blow it all", FB is almost bigger than Google and with Microsoft having an interest in it, you know the rest.

I love how Mark was like, "I just don't see where they're coming from" and yet he paid them out 66 million and there's all his old IM's saying he delayed their project to start The Facebook.

Mad Respect for this Guy.. Whatever anyone says about facebook or its code or its CEO.... 50 Fucking Billions... is no mistake, or Luck. Think they aren't great technology? THEY ARE HIRING!!!!!

And I like it when said, in the Movie... A guy who builds a really nice chair doesn't owe money to everyone who's ever built a chair.

Lol this guy is funny.

The way i see it, in my opinion, Facebook is a fad. Similar to MySpace, eXanga, etc etc. It will always "remain" on the internet, but as time goes on, their limitations on what they can do will become greater and greater. Comparing FB to Google is laughable at best. I would say in the next 2-4 years we will see a completely different approach to "social networking" and it'll be interesting to see what Facebook does when they actually have a viable competitor.

And no i don't really have "respect" for Zuckerburg. He has a good product, and sure his net worth is 50+ billion, but what the fuck has he ever done positively on the business side of Facebook?

He lets people share pictures, status updates, and spread awareness about child abuse by encouraging people to change profile pictures to cartoons.

Lots of butthurt fags in this thread as well as Zuck dick riders.

Bottom line is this: he's a dirt bag who stole an idea, blatantly bragged and lied about it, and he built a site that went viral and grew itself really--big fucking whoop. Only difference is when a site goes viral it grows and has repeat users. You don't have to be smart to build a billion dollar company as quickly as this took place, you just have to let the pieces come together.

Overall this guy is in karma debt up to his eye balls so it'll be interesting to see him get served by the universe over the next 10 years

dude became a billionaire by creating a site that helps him and millions of others to get laid. Can't get better than this

Not selling out to Yahoo for $1b some years ago and now has the company evaluated at $30-50b?

I mostly only ride his dick because he's a jew, and my name is Muhammad.

The difference between Facebook and competitors, is that Facebook is developing a culture of shipping code (hack-a-thons etc.) whereas competitors spend a lot of time building mammoth stuff like Wave and Buzz which are pretty much DOA.

To use a baseball analogy, Facebook is bunting and hitting singles all day, and has the internet trapped in the second inning, where they just continue to run up the score without outs. They don't swing for the fences. They take what you already do outside Facebook, and bring it into Facebook.

If you continue to develop, you won't be left behind. That's the message of the internet personally and professionally. One trick ponies are destined for the glue factory.

I would have sold out at 1 billion and walked away.

Enough to live like a king for the rest of life, and not deal with any BS, backlash, or competitors ever again.
