My 1,000 shares @ $2.52 are definitely looking solid so far!

Hah! Looks like you're now over $1 a share on Sprint. Happy to see that I made the right call on it.

----

Bumping this thread a bit since lots has happened since when I've first began trading when this thread was first created. Last week I also picked $20,000 in Zynga options that are doing very well today. (hurray for the Zynga rally).

Over the last month, I've recovered every bit of loss I had realized in trading ($50k), and am now up overall.

Since Zynga does have a relation to Facebook's success (FB rallied today when ZNGA did), I will update this thread daily on my Zynga position. Earning report is coming out next week, so that's when we are selling.

Video from last night on the current developments:

Zynga is still doing well for us. Earnings are coming out on the 25th. EPS is at 6c, things are pointing towards them beating it. If that happens, we should be able to double on our position.

We also had our biggest day thus far, gained almost $70,000 today:

Oh shit $70,000 gained today? Nicely done man. What you up total now and over what time period?

Up total about $75,000 from Day 1. About to do the math to get the exact figure. The time period is over 3 months. I've been trading options for 2 months, if not less.

Also take note that before I started doing well, I was in a hole of $50k. So I made that back, plus am sitting about $75k on top.

The actual exact numbers broken down by broker:

This is not counting any of the currently opened positions.

That's awesome man, I'll be rooting for you.

Also, FB should be releasing their earnings report in the next couple of days. Looks like people are expecting higher revenues from them, personally I've seen some of the click costs go way up recently so I wouldn't be surprised.

ZNGA earned .01 EPS vs .06 -- ouch!

Facebook investors are nervous -- FB shares down 6% after hours... reporting tomorrow. Estimates are around .12c EPS

No I think ZNGA actually had a net loss of 22.8 mil or an EPS of -0.03 EPS. It's down 42% now.

Zynga is in trouble IMO, people just aren't playing their shitty spammy FB games anymore, and the way Facebook has changed has ruined their aggressive promotional tactics.

They need to make an aggressive move into mobile, quick, to have any chance of survival IMO.

The have $1B+ in cash with zero debt. The will be fine as long as they manage their expenses.

Doesn't mean they have what it takes to start making money again, wouldn't surprise me if you watch it slowly plow all that money into trying to "revive" their online games. Lots of companies get big, and become too stubborn to change their ways.

Sure, that is why I said as long as they can manage their expenses. It's not like the company all of a sudden isn't making money. They still have a nice revenue stream. A large chunk of that net loss was due to $95MM stock expense during the qtr.

You can easily make $$ with $1.6B sitting in the bank. Will they use it wisely? who knows...

Yep, Zynga got ripped apart at earning release. It was bad enough that they missed the EPS expectation by that much but to also release the statement that the EPS forecast for EOD is 20% of the expected. Good luck bros.

^How much have you paid to brokers so far? $5000?
500 contract trade costs $500 to open and close. They must like you.

Oh, many many dollars. To open/close a 500 contract position I pay over $1,000 in fees. Considering I've been trading for a few months now, I've definitely paid over $10,000 in fees already.

TradeKing actually has the lowest fees I've seen but their interface sucks balls. OptionExpress on the other hand has one of the highest fees if you're purchasing more than 20 contracts at a time but their interface kicks ass. Their downloadable trading platform + all their tools are worth it.

FB is releasing earnings in around 2 hours. From advertising on Facebook my guess is that they'll beat expectations on revenues. I've seen a pretty big jump in click costs over the last month or so since they introduced the Optimized CPM bidding. Probably been artificially inflating the cpc costs to boost their earnings.
