Over The Counter Alternatives To Adderall

Bump, get in here dchuk and tell us about Alphabrain!

Def, I just ordered a bottle myself so I'll throw some reviews in here after I try.

so far, I'm a big fan. I take one in the morning with a cup of coffee, and one right after lunch to keep me going. I don't feel a buzz like with energy drinks or caffeine, just a nice sense of urgency and focus. I was quite productive this week, got a lot of stuff rolling for serpIQ and on some of my own sites so I'm happy.

It also makes me overall feel happier. A nice elevated mood. I dig that.

I sleep like a fucking rock when I have taken them, which is great because I generally sleep like shit (anxiety + sleep doesn't add up well). The only downside is if you set an alarm to wake up at a decent hour, you wake up feeling REALLY groggy. I woke up feeling hungover today when I hadn't had more than 2 beers last night.

Still working out the best method to use them, but I'm a fan so far. $40/bottle seems expensive but the productivity they've added to my day pays for itself in like 15 minutes so I'm ok with it.

I took a small dose of Piracetam earlier, and wrote 5 articles and 1 sales page instead of web surfing. I don't know if this burst of productivity was the result of the drug, but I has good brain today. :)

I just lol at anyone who thinks they need drugs to perform good.

I LOL at people who are ignorant, and think everyone in the world has the same wiring as them.

I struggled for years, always had the ideas.. but never the drive to complete.

Finally said fuck it.. went to the doc and got put on Dexedrine, within 4 months I've started a complete business, fixed my life, and generating well over 15k a month on the side.

I find that the Dexedrine didn't magically make me more intelligent. It just gave me what I never had, and that was drive. I could never focus long enough to sustain drive to complete tasks. This is caused by a medical condition (Adult ADD etc.).

It's very real. I could give a fuck less what you think, I just honestly hope this helps someone out there. It saved my life.

btw Dexedrine is very similar to Adderall, but works a million times better for me. The military used to give it to fighter pilots back in the day for concentration and stimulation.

if you are still having troubles I can point you to the only IOP source i've ever found that now sells both straight dex and add...

ritalin has never done it for me at all, i got nothing from it whereas dex or add is the right balance - yeah i too wish i had the brain chemistry to smoke pot and get ANYTHING done, i have friends who seem like they have snorted meth after smoking a joint they get so motivated and full of energy - i'm the 100% reverse

and yeah,. i'm not promoting everyone take this stuff - its a personal decision... i don't take it all the time, though the rest of the time i DO take modafinil which i now have a proper script for... and does work well for me too

anyway, hit me up by PM if you need more info - i'm very protective and respectful of this guys privacy as this has been the best source i've ever found and used him for years now... (and selfishly i don't want him going down anytime soon like so many IOPs do)

Modafinil has to be the lamest drug I've ever taken. It has no perceptible effect at all. I once popped 6 200mg of them at one go and just felt light headed. No improvement in focus or energy. The only times it might help are if you are on a long sleep deprived drive or doing mind numbing drone work that doesn't require thought (this is why it's very popular in Indian call centers). And even then it may just be placebo.

for me it does wonders.... and i am someone who in years past dealt with pretty heavy blow problem, rehabed and been clean of that for years - but i still end up needing something to help 'get er done' alot of the time...

I tried all sorts of alternatives starting years back like phentermine, ephedrine etc... and got modafinil from overseas before it became popular.

I am clearly well acquainted with what a dopamine buzz feels like, and true modafinil doesn't produce a substantial 'high' (though I personally do get the kick i need off it to feel motivated, awake and focused)...

i'm sure it comes down to different people's chemistry (and expectations) but for what i use it for modafinil does the trick really - i'm prescribed 400mg a day and it is usually enough to get me out of my funk (i do have pretty substantial depression issues at times prob bipolar 2) and it can help keep me from languishing in a despondent state i slip into every couple months...

agree with your point completely... very similar to issues i have had and the results i get from the meds i choose to use - and couldn't give a fuck either at this stage in my life what someone else's naive understanding of brain physiology, mood disorders and the like - 'just snap out of it!' - yeah right.. you try - if people haven't experienced something themselves they so often lack the ability to imagine that something else exists - especially when it comes to mental and behavior topics...

if some guy is missing a leg though maybe they could stretch their very simple minded view to see that using a crutch, or (horror the thought) even an artificial limb to have a better quality of life...

for me i make my own very experienced, very informed and very much considering the consequences and compromises to weigh these decisions, and ultimately make them for myself, i've had enough crap ass wasted phases in past years i'm fine making my own choice of what is worth it and what isn't for me and me alone....

ps as to the dex/adderal thing - dex is in adderall (one of the 4 mixed amphetamine salts that make up adderall) - dexamphetamine out of the 4 seems to have the most direct effect on the dopamine reward circuits thus gives a stronger feel good kick (if comparing same sized doses of the two) but addrall tends to last longer - even without the XR... or so i've read.

currently i'm liking the addrall mix, had past experiences with dex only - but also as my source is almost same price for twice as much of adderall then pure dex...

You can always try DMAE. According to Wikipedia: "Short-term studies have shown an increase in vigilance and alertness with a positive influence on mood following administration of DMAE, vitamins, and minerals in individuals suffering from borderline emotional disturbance. Research for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been promising, though inconclusive."

Oddly enough, it's a big favorite among the hardcore weirdo life extension people. Apparently, studies showed that it extended the lifespans of certain animals. Also, a number of websites will tell you to avoid it if you've ever been diagnosed with a major mood disorder (like bipolar disorder).

Anybody tried "kratom"? Originates in Thailand but it's been illegal here since 1943, although it grows wild in the jungle so can be found many places.

It is not a controlled substance in the U.S. and Canada. Said to give a pleasant opiated happiness but with a strong alertness/motivational effect. Apparently used to good effect by some people. Haven't tried it myself. Possible addictive if taken regularly in high doses.

lol you're a moron who knows nothing about chemistry. adderall is literally amphetamine, aka speed. adderall is small doses, but can easily be abused to the point of strong addiction, and lead to horrifying withdrawal.

please, don't talk about shit you don't know.

I'm well aware, this doesn't make it a hard drug.

Find someone going through a withdrawl on heroin or oxy. I've had a friend that went to rehab over those, once you see real withdrawals with your own eyes people getting "tummy aches" over something as soft as adderall looks pathetic.

I've been tempted to try, it's legal here lol. Apparently at a certain dosage it does the opposite, and sends you to sleep.
