Zensix hosting = FAIL

It's not about the price. If you were selling shitburgers for only $0.10, sure you could point at the price and say, "What did you expect for $0.10?"

That doesn't make a shitburger not shit.

There are very few people here who need $10 a month hosting. Some of us supported Eric when he was starting out with Zensix. Some of us appreciated that his pitch was based around understanding our needs. Many of us signed up to pay more than $10 a year.

Sure, things have changed. He no longer wants to support affiliates or anyone doing anything substantial with their hosting. And likewise, people now think he is a pretty big shithead. That's just how things have evolved.

I am pretty sure Eric makes most of his money by selling off his users to other companies. Expect him to have VPS plans again soon, then in another year, sell those off again. It's a roundabout form of leadgen.
This. I'm not, and never have been, a customer of zensix, but subigo, if you're gonna spend your time bitching about your customers, complaining they don't pay enough/demand too much, etc etc... Up the price. That, or sell the business. The way things seem to be going for zensix, it's gonna be worth more now than in a years time.

I love how instead of making WF member's stop signing up, this thread increases conversations from WF links. Hah.

Do I give a shit about you or your website? No.

Do I give a shit about you having to manually install Wordpress? No.

Do I give a shit when you have to fix a DNS bug after a migration to a better server? No.

Do I care if you have to move your email to Google Apps? No.

Do I care if you cancel right now and move to ASO (which was bought by Hostgator last year, btw)? No.

For all the bitching and moaning, there's one thing that hasn't been said (too many times)... for people who just host basic websites, they are getting a deal. Uptime on servers is routinely in the 200+ day range and the only downtime is when the datacenter has issues. Everyone was just been moved to 1 Gbit ports, which you are definitely not going to get somewhere else for $10/year. And support always responds to you... and before someone says Chris did all the support, probably 25% of the tickets answered in the past three years from him, were actually from me using his account, because I didn't want to link my account to support.

For all the "ballers" on Wickedfire, you guys have always been the biggest headache to deal with in terms of clients. Almost none of you know how to even setup Wordpress and the things you submit tickets for are embarrassing. You'll spam the shit out of the world from a shared hosting account and cry when you get suspended. You'll get a DMCA notice and blame it on hackers. You'll upload cracked copies of Windows 7 and then have the nerve to bitch at me for finding it and deleting/suspending your account.

No other group of clients comes with so many issues and teenage self-entitled bullshit. There's a reason you don't see "real" web hosting companies advertising on this forum.

If you know how to manage offsite DNS, offsite email, can figure most things out for yourself, and just need a basic hosting account with good uptime? You're not going to find anything cheaper/better than what I offer. And please, show everyone the under ten dollar per year plan that offers more... I'll wait.

If you think you're going to get the same thing as plans that normally cost ten times the amount I charge... go fuck yourself. That's like expecting a Ford Focus to be a Ferrari.

My real clients are the people who pay $xxx/month for white label hosting and server administration. Those are the people I will bend over backwards for. But not you. Not now. Not ever.

Don't like me or my offers? Go pick one of the other 4 million hosts out there: Shared Hosting Offers - Web Hosting Talk

That's a lot of butthurt. Webair FTW

Nope, at least not this time.

I don't know how much VPS Outlet paid a few years ago so I can't comment on that but I do know how much he sold his VPS clients for this time.

He sold 38 VPS clients which were generating $6,954.2 per year @ $1,500 but made it clear that he is only willing to sell to companies with a proven track record.

This happened on WHT.

I'm not sure if we're allowed to link to other forums, just search for the term "38 VPS clients - OpenVZ ($6,954.20/year)" and you'll find the thread I'm referring to.

Subigo is not exactly a brilliant sales guy, as everyone can see (I honestly doubt telling clients you don't give a fuck is a smart solution), but his approach was ethical. He agreed to accept a low price for the VPS part of his hosting business ($1,500) but made it clear right from the beginning that he was only willing to sell to companies with a proven track record.

Actually, I let them take the remaining clients for $1,000 even, because I wanted to give them to a company that I talked with daily.

The attitude is really shitty. It's unfortunate to see how grateful you were to WickedFire before you had clients and how you are now when you have the client base.

He'd like everyone to forget when WF users were helping build up Zensix and just complain about how horrible everyone from here is, and validate that by avoiding the fact that a lot of us paid more than $10 a year to be clients.

Hopefully people doing diligence at WHT the next time he is selling something read his posts in this thread and ask themselves if $10 is really worth it for this much drama and disrespect.

You're right. Some people paid $29.99/year and got a free dedicated IP that was costing me $24/year. Some people paid $15/year. And a whole shit ton of people paid $5/year and $0/year.

And I know for a fact that some of you in here bitching are on free plans.

Subigo I have no idea what your problem is but you need to sell this business, step away from a computer and go sit in a park or at a beach.

Bullshit. I've never paid more than a $1 a month for a dedicated IP in 10 years of hosting, and that was retail.

Are you fucking serious? VPS clients are worth between 4 and 10 times annual revenue, even on WHT.

I'm one of those people that actually pay hosts hundreds of dollars a month and guess what?

If I ever, EVER need a more personal touch I already know who for sure I'd NEVER consider.

You have the worst attitude I've EVER seen in business. I don't know why someone would pay $10 a month instead of just using a dedicated server, a separate IP, and cloudflare but whatever...

But, in regards to ever even considering you?

Never. I never heard a bad thing about your "premium" hosting, but you've already put the worst possible taste in my mouth and there's no way I'm alone with that sentiment.

Pays 83 cents a month, expects heroic support. You should try liquidweb or hostgator

Subigo posted in this thread an hour or so ago and confirmed that he sold them @ $1k.

Search for the term "38 VPS clients - OpenVZ ($6,954.20/year)" on Google and you'll find his WHT thread.

That hosting company you recommended above (asmallorange) charges $2/month per dedicated IP.

Most hosts charge in the range of $2-$6/per month. Liquidweb still offers $1/month IPs but you'll likely need justification now.
