Question to all the atheists?

Your family avoids thinking about the true tragedy of your death by pretending you're still alive - up there in heaven with the baby Jesus. But meanwhile you just rot.
Your question is like asking what happens to a rat, moth, ant or plant when it dies. It fucking rots and is eventually completely erased from existence. I'm sorry if that doesn't give you a warm feeling inside.
So if you just rot when you die, how come you guys are wasting time on WF and not living it up if it's really the complete ending when you die?
I don't follow your line of reasoning, but I'm not sure why being a human being would mean that when I die the results are different than any other great ape dying. It might be worth noting that I'm an agnostic atheist and I don't really care too much about debating this kind of thing. Cheers.
Well, if you're going to just end up rotting in the ground, why waste your time on a website? Tomorrow can be your last day alive, so why aren't you living it up?

True. I'm just curious as to what Atheists think will happen after they die... I certainly don't want to believe I've been given life just to be put 6 feet under for an eternity...

I can't really speak for all atheists, but that's just what the evidence points to for me.
Hey, funny story. I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness until I was like 13 or something, but at an earlier age I'd decided that I didn't believe in a god, but I didn't know the word atheist yet. The conversation happened when I was told Santa wasn't real. I think I was 7 +/- 1 years old.
Mom: Santa isn't real, we do the presents etc.
Me: That means the Easter bunny isn't real either, right?
Mom: That's right.
Me: And the tooth fairy is something else just made up using magic to explain everything, so that can't be true.
Mom: *nods*
Me: So God's not real either.
Mom: WHOA WHOA HOLD ON THERE
You know what: that was harsh. I'm sorry for that.
I shouldn't have singled you out for my belief that Most folks that buy into organized religion are sheeps that need to be told what to do and think.
Here's a little thread I started about Religion that expresses my feelings.
I'm not religious. I don't give a shit about religion either way. My family's Catholic, and I used to regularly attend church as well (not Catholic school though, my family wasn't hardcore at all).
And yes, the Christian/Catholic god is an ass.
My thread wasn't saying Atheism is bad, actually my thread was a halfway troll thread. But seriously, I just get pissed when Atheists complain about religious people spreading doctrine and not keeping their beliefs to themselves when certain Atheist's are doing the exact same thing.
