Attack On Military Base In Texas By Multiple Gunmen - 7 Dead, 20 Injured

The fucker's still alive? If there ever was a case for torture...

What I don't get is how the hell did they think he was dead. (for so long)

But damn I am glad that he's alive. I want answers! (and I want him to suffer through a very long life in prison)

Shit, Texas is probably going to kill his ass.

If the state of Texas gets his trial, he's been saved from being shot 4x in a hospital right now just to be put on the fast track to execution.

Fox News (not impartial, I know) is reporting that he shouted "Allah Akbar" while he was shooting. Also read that he sold much of his furniture and was distributing copies of the Koran to his neighbors... though it is Fox, so who knows how much of that is fact-based.

The irony being that if he indeed "snapped" because he was about to be deployed to the Stan / sick of being harassed for being Muslim in the Army; as a result of his actions other Muslims in our Armed Services will be viewed with caution and suspicion for years to come.

Associated Press is saying the same thing.

Army: Suspect said `Allahu Akbar!' before shooting

Article also says 13 dead now. :(

( Also, just heard on radio he may be paralyzed, perfect :) )

NZZ (Swiss News) is reporting that it's possible that some of the people may have accidentally been shot by the security guards due to the confusion that must have been on hand.

That could explain the high death toll.

I heard there was some friendly fire too. So sad.

Did you hear about the badass LEO (female <-interesting but not important) that shot the guy? She was shot in the shoulder during the gunfight with the man, she's going to be OK.

I would think that the military would have jurisdiction. First, he is an active duty member. Second, it technically didn't happen in the state of Texas. Military bases are federal ground, just like a US Embassy isn't technically in another country. When you're inside you are on US federal soil.

In some cases the military will punish through a court martial or whatever, then release to the state for further prosecution. Usually this is when more minor offenses like a DUI, assault etc happen off base or something though. I knew a few people that had that happen to them, present company included.

Could be off base, not 100% sure how things of this magnitude are handled.

Yeah military will have jurisdiction on this one. How does a fat, hash brown eating doctor kill 13 trained soldiers with 2 pistols?

Came back home to Texas from AdTech to this... serious morale killer. My heart goes out to the victims and families. Such a tragedy.

BURN HIM!!!

Ahhh, yes. Should be interesting to see how this pans out.

He'll be up on capital charges no matter what I think.

I too can't figure out how 1 soldier with 2 pistols could be so deadly. Then again I can't figure out how 1 kid and 2 pistols could be so much more deadly. I just can't imagine, but I guess you would have to be there to understand. You would think someone would be in a position to tackle them when reloading or take them by surprise coming or going through a door, or anything... but that's all armchair quarterbacking isn't it? Everyone was probably trying to get as far away as possible with no where to go.

What a terrible shame. This world we live in can be so disheartening sometimes.

The word is that some of the casualties may have been the result of friendly fire. Also, the suspect was familiar with this facility and knew that it would be a de facto shooting gallery. It's a waiting room with row after row of soldier just waiting to get an pre-deployment eye or dental exam. The base CO also mentioned that richoceting rounds may have had an effect.

IANAJAG but the UCMJ doesn't have an article for mass shootings that I am aware of. I think it's possible given that one of the 13 casualties was a civilian LEO that he could be tried in both jurisdictions.

Guess I was wishing Texas would have first crack at him because, like Ron White says, "Texas has the death penalty and we use it! Other states are trying to abolish the death penalty. My state's putting in an express lane." If it goes before a military tribunal it will be red tape ad nauseum before he's sentenced.

Does anyone even know if you can be sentenced to death if permanently disabled (e.g., paralyzed)? In either jurisdiction?

In Texas they've execute the mentally retarded. I don't think slightly disabled is going to be an issue...

However, the likely order of jurisdiction is going to be US Army > Federal Government > Texas.

Assuming, of course, he lives that long. This many literally has zero friends.

And the woman who shot him kicks ass. I hope she gets more medals than she can carry.

I've been wondering about this. 2 others detained, MPs showing up on the scene, everyone in the same uniform... I can imagine how some people might have been mistakenly shot.

I really dont have time to respond in sentences, But at arbiter:

Plausable Denaibility
Scape Goating (Islamics)
Hegelain Dialectic (Many govt activities)
Straw Man Arguments (Icke)
Why would there be lots of mention of the Illuminati and it not be fuctional in some fashion?
Why did Eisenhower warn of the Military Complex?
Why do many ex presidents and other powerful people make written memoirs that mention People that are not dared mentioned by the press?
Why did a Russian secret agent say there is no such thing as terrorism that is NOT state sponsored in some fashion?
Why was Oswald presented as a bad person and had some activities that made sense but later much of the story turns out not to be true or impossible?
Why would you not create a story that makes sense if you wanted to make a story?
If you have 300 million USA citizens to choose from just choose one that is showing signs of unraveling? He posted in a public forum and was under investigation.

Not that I am saying he was staged it is obvoiusly too early to know.

If you really want to investigate something pick something older. WWI - Franz Ferdinand, Hitler and USA backing / funding, Operation Paperclip, Operation Northwoods, Vietnam and Tonkin, JFK and Oswald, Hunt. Hussein and Gulf War I, Iran and USA involvement and overthrowing it in 1950s. There are tons of provable things that show the World is not completely Peachy Keen and the news usually does not want to cover it.

Why I am not sure.

obivously i dont condone this persons activities but why are people so worried about the dead soldiers? i dont think anyone here feels bad for people that lterally live 100% off other peoples direct tax dollars who end up causing people in other countries to blow up our buildings will planes because they are bombing them with missile destroyers all day. less soldiers = less money stolen from me and less people hating me just because my money is stolen every quarter and used to harass them.

This is a bad thing for lovers of justice. I can see a Federal Government refusing to allow Texas to have a piece of this guy so Obama can appease his bleeding heart disciples who are against the death penalty.
