Not sure if they're any good, but really how badly can you fuck up a lower receiver?

About $100 more than it should be, but a hell of a lot less than on GB right now.

I HONESTLY would not be buying ANY stripped lowers.

There are so many machine shops starting up to turn them out by the truckload within 3 months there will be a glut.

The government is unlikely to ban AWs, just high cap mags. That's what I would be (And am) investing in.

Just bought a defensive rifle for our country place.

Very nice.

This is what I carry daily. Just need something to ward off anybody thinking of jumping me.

My daily carry (for a while)

But recently upgraded to a Sig P229. The G26 had erratic ejection problems - either failed to extract at all or the casing would fly back and hit you in the face. TBH, probably the first and last time I'll buy a Glock.

3d printed lowers aren't strong enough to sustain normal usage. Maybe a few rounds before it breaks in a test environment, but nothing substantial.

On the other hand, you can buy a 80% lower which doesn't require any paperwork and finish it out with hand tools and JB weld.
Ah, shame, but nice.

Did some research recently, found a couple shooting clubs near me, so gonna phone them up on Monday, hopefully they've got some spaces.

Also found out that when in 6 months I get a license, it'll be legal for me to import guns from the US (cheaper). I also found out that semi automatic rifles are legal - however, only in rimfire, up to .22. :disgust: Ah well.

Glock put a bunch of .40sw extractors in 9mm handguns causing problems. It's a $15 part fix. Sure it shouldn't happen with glocks but it's a easy fix.

Nice, thanks very much for that :)

Btw, ever shot an M4? Price doesn't seem too different.

Colt .22 LR M4 OPS Carbine Semi-Auto Second Hand for sale. Buy for £420.

No, not that particular rifle. I'm sure it's pretty decent.

The Smith I have has been very reliable for a 22. Probably run about 2000 rounds through it, just cheap Federal stuff, and have had less than 10 failures / malfunctions. Not too shabby for a rimfire.

Accurate too. We (me, the wife and kids) can hit steel at 100 yards with it, no problem. Group about 6 inches, mainly due to cheap red dot and shooting too fast. I'm guessing if we slow down, the group could be as small as a couple inches.

The biggest problem with that rifle is conserving ammo. It is too damn much fun. You will rip through ammo with it. Make sure you buy a lot of extra magazines. I've got 4 and they're not enough. That's only about 2 minutes worth of shooting and 7 minutes worth of reloading. If you have more magazines, you can be shooting while a friend reloads and vice versa.

You can not interchange any full size AR parts with this rifle. The guy in the video doesn't seem too sure. Even the stock is smaller, so a standard SOPMOD stock will not fit.

OMG, I think I just found something that could make this even more fun:

While we're on the subject of .22s here's a GSG-5 I put together. MP5 replica. Silencer is a fake can (too lazy to get a tax stamp and put a real one on)

Very nice. And thankfully, the UK has no restrictions on magazine amounts (I think probably because most people believe guns are much more restricted than they actually are, so legal guns don't get much attention) so I'll make sure too. I saw one video of someone with one with a 100rd drum magazine, which could be good.

I've seen slide fire stocks mentioned, and on researching, they're legal here. However, I've heard accuracy can be a problem, as well as the firing stopping for most people, just because they can't keep it going.

Nice. Get yourself to a target shooting club, a Barrett would probably be hard/impossible, but something like a Remington 700 .50 shouldn't be too hard to get licensed for.
